We are thinking about adding a couple days in London onto the end of this tour. Do you suggest a trip by train from Edinburgh to London once this tour is over? Would we be able to take the train the same day this tour is over or would it be too late and we would have to take it the next morning?

Our York, Windermere & Hadrian's Wall - 5 days tour ends in Edinburgh at around 19:00 so there is a possibility to get a train to London later on this evening. I believe there is a train from Edinburgh to London at about 8 pm, so if we get back to Edinburgh on time you should be able to get a train on the same day to London. The walk from the bus station to the train station takes around 5-7 minutes. Obviously, it will be safer to get a train to London the next morning in case our arrival to Edinburgh is delayed.

She gave us a lot of context and background on the tour bus in-between stops. Stratford-Upon-Avon, York, Chatsworth House and Lincoln were some of my favorite stops during the tour. Our Wales day had a really bad storm and we had to cancel our scheduled trips to the castle and slate mine, however, June went above and beyond to find alternatives for us and everyone on the tour still had a great visit to Wales.Show more
