Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Colombo
Your representative will meet you at Colombo airport and drive you to your hotel. From there, the day is yours to rest and get settled after your flight.

- Day 2
Colombo to Sinharaja
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll head out to explore Colombo with visits to Gangaramaya Temple, Independence Square, the Colombo National Museum, Seema Malakaya, and Beira Lake. Later in the day you'll drive to Sinharaja and check into your hotel there.

Sinharaja
Following breakfast, a professional naturalist guides you through the Sinharaja rainforest for bird watching. The forest contains roughly 280 bird species, including about 34 that live only here. The rest of your day is open for relaxing at your own pace.

Landmarks Sinharaja Rainforest - Day 4
Sinharaja to Udawalawe
You'll start before sunrise for a bird watching tour in Sinharaja rainforest, then head back to the hotel for breakfast and free time. After lunch, you'll check out and drive to Udawalawe National Park to settle into your accommodation.

- Day 5
Udawalawe
An early morning game drive takes you through Udawalawe National Park where you can see the Sri Lankan elephant, which is the largest of the Asian elephant species. The park has approximately 400 elephants along with leopards, sloth bears, and various deer. You'll return for breakfast and leisure time, then head out for a second safari after lunch before returning to your hotel in the evening.

Landmarks Udawalawe National Park - Day 6
Udawalawe to Yala
After breakfast, you'll drive toward Yala National Park. On the way, stop at Bundala bird sanctuary, one of Sri Lanka's largest wildlife reserves, where migratory flamingos and hundreds of local and visiting bird species live. You'll arrive at Yala in time to check in and settle for the evening.

- Day 7
Yala
Before sunrise, head out for a game drive in Yala National Park to look for leopards in the trees, crocodiles along the rivers, and wild elephants on the savanna. You'll return for breakfast and free time, then take another safari after lunch before heading back to your hotel as evening comes.

Yala to Mirissa
Check out after breakfast and drive to Mirissa, a coastal town where you'll check into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax and explore at your leisure.

- Day 9
Mirissa
After breakfast, head to Mirissa Fishery's Harbour for a boat trip to spot blue whales. During migration season, whales come relatively close to shore because the continental shelf south of Dondra is quite narrow. You'll have time to photograph them and then spend the rest of your day however you'd like.

Landmarks Mirissa Fishery's Harbour - Day 10
Mirissa to Colombo
After breakfast, check out and drive back toward Colombo. Along the way, stop at the Kosgoda Turtle Farm where local and international volunteers work to protect sea turtles. You'll arrive in Colombo to check in and have the evening free.

Departure from Colombo
