The tour of the island was good, the guide was informative; but, it was a bit difficult to understand his English (my native language) and his Spanish was too fast for me. The hostel before the tour was suitable for young backpackers but in my opinion, left much to be desired for an older adult - as did the accommodations in Easter Island - very basic and not even a cup of coffee was available on site in the morning. (You had to bring in everything yourself and could use their kitchen.) The bicycle tour before the Easter Island part was quite nice, with an excellent guide. The pickups for transfer usually were timely, except for my return to Santiago when no one showed up because they hadn't adjusted my arrival time though my new flight information was confirmed with them twice, days in advance. When budgeting for this trip, keep in mind that in addition to the cost of the tour package, you will also be paying for the round trip flight to and from Easter Island plus the $80 entrance fee to the parks on the island, as well as for almost all your food.Show more

Hello Michael! Yes, flight prices are not included in the tour´s price, and neither is breakfast in Easter Island when the hostel option is selected, as is stated in the tour information. Budget hostels cater to young backpackers for the most part, and we understand that not everybody is comfortable with that lifestyle. Regardless, we are sorry to hear that the accommodations weren´t up to your standards, and apologize for any complcations that may have arrised after changing the details for the transfer.   No, departure transfer is not included. If you want we can offer you 2 options: a private transfer that picks you up at the hostel and takes you to the airport (might be a little expensive since you are only one passenger) or we can quote you a regular bus from Santiago Downtown to Santiago Airport (you would have to find your own way from the hostel to Santiago Bus Station).

  We would book all included services for you, but you won't be travelling with a group of people who are doing the exact same things as you. On the second day you will go on your own to the meeting point for the Santiago Bike Tour. You will be sharing that tour with other people who hired that activity from other agencies/independently. We don't have a travel coordinator, but we will provide you with the itinerary and you would also have our Whatsapp contact in case you need anything.

  1-Santiago bike tours are done in the city but in a way that avoids traffic and takes care of the customers. We have been working with them for more than 10 years we all customers were satisfied and learnt about Santiago in a fun way! 2-Yes, if you choose private SGL room hostel option, in Santiago is Hostal Providencia and in Easter Island is Kona Tau Hostel. 3-While in your hostel and while you move from Santiago to Hanga Roa, you are on your own. But the bike tour and the day tours in Easter Island are group tours. 4-Arriving at 3.30 pm is ok as the 1st day is meant for arriving and relaxing, you don't have activities planned on day 1. 5-Tours are given in spanish and english.
