- Day 1
Keflavík to Narsaq
You'll touch down in Greenland and get picked up at the airport. A RIB boat takes you south to Narsaq, a city of around 1,500 people and one of the larger settlements in this region. Once you arrive, your guide walks you through your gear and gets everyone settled into the hostel for the night.

Landmarks Narsaq - Days 2 - 9
Tugtutoq Island - Qaleraliq Fjord - Glacier Trek
The expedition kicks off with a technical briefing on kayaking and trekking skills. You'll paddle out through low islands, past waterfalls and tundra with icebergs scattered around. The day takes you to Tugtutoq Island where you'll trek up to slopes and find Ujaraq, a fisherman living alone in his hut. From there, head to Qaleraliq Fjord to see a glacier with three tongues stretching roughly 10 km across. Watch for whales, caribou, and smaller lakes tucked away. Later, a short trek gets you onto the ice cap itself, one of earth's oldest ice masses, where crevasses and raw glacial power surround you. Nights are spent in tents, and you'll have chances to fish for arctic salmon, pick mushrooms and cranberries, and catch the Northern Lights after late August.

Qaleraliq to Narsaq
You paddle back toward Narsaq with ringed seals in the water around you. The return leg has denser ice, which slows the kayaks and sometimes blocks routes forward. Stop to check out some old Inuit ruins along the way. By afternoon you're back in Narsaq, pack up your equipment, and spend your last night at the hostel. Your guide thanks everyone for the trip through South Greenland's kayaking and trekking terrain.

Landmarks Narsaq - Day 11
Qaqortoq
A RIB boat transports you to Qaqortoq, the capital of South Greenland and the country's most appealing town. Built in 1775, it has close to 3,000 residents. You get free time to wander the colorful buildings, see the landscape, and find thirty different rock sculptures spread around town. Check the museum, fur shops, the traditional kayak club, the church, and the country's only fountain on your own schedule. Grab lunch at a local restaurant and then head to the airport for your afternoon flight back to Keflavik.
