You'll land in Kuala Lumpur and can shape your first day however you like. If you're tired from traveling, head to your hotel, settle in, and take in the views from your room. Or if you have energy, jump into the city right away and walk around the streets, catch the local vibe, and track down some good meals. Either way, you've got a pleasant evening waiting for you.

Kuala Lumpur

Batu Caves

Kuala Lumpur to Melaka
This morning, head to the bus station in Kuala Lumpur and catch a long-distance bus heading to Melaka. The journey takes a few hours, so you'll have time to relax and watch the landscape change. Once you arrive and get checked in, start exploring the UNESCO World Heritage streets, particularly Jonker Street where you'll find antiques, local shops, and street food stalls. Later in the day, walk over to Harmony Street to see the historic Cheng Hoon Temple with its traditional architecture. By evening, head back to Jonker Street, which transforms into a lively night market with vendors, crowds, and plenty of things to eat.

Cameron Highlands
