Departure to Windhoek
Your journey starts as you board your flight to Windhoek. During the flight, you'll have plenty of time to think about what's ahead - the desert landscape, wildlife encounters, and all those incredible moments waiting for you.
- Day 2
Windhoek
After landing at Windhoek airport, you'll pick up your rental SUV and head to your hotel to get settled. From there, take time to walk around the city's main sights, grab supplies for the days ahead, and let it sink in that your adventure is officially underway.

Windhoek to Kalahari Desert
The drive south from Windhoek takes you through the Kalahari landscape with its heat and vibrant colors. You'll arrive at your glamping tent in the red dunes, cool off by the pool, then make your way to the highest dune to catch the sunset turning into a starlit sky above you.

Kalahari Desert
Wake early to see the desert transform in golden sunrise light. Your day involves walking through the landscape on foot, relaxing by the pool, and keeping an eye out for wildlife like oryx antelope. As evening comes, you'll have sundowner drinks on your veranda while the desert sunset unfolds.

Landmarks Kalahari Desert - Day 5
Kalahari to Giant's Playground
Head south toward Keetmanshoop and its famous quiver trees, then discover the rocky landscape of Giant's Playground with its strange boulder formations. Stop by the Naute crystal distillery to learn how they make desert schnapps before you reach your accommodation for sunset drinks.

- Day 6
Fish River Canyon
Travel to Fish River Canyon and prepare yourself for the sheer scale of it. Walk along the cliff edge from Hobas to Hell's Bend, taking in the vast red rock faces and the river winding far below. Every viewpoint here gives you something worth photographing.

Fish River Canyon to Klein-Aus
You'll choose between driving along the Orange River or past the Naute Dam before heading to Klein-Aus in the Namib Desert. This remote mountain spot offers complete quiet and open expanses where wild horses roam freely. Hike through granite hills and succulent karoo, then look up at the night sky filled with shooting stars.

Klein-Aus to Lüderitz
Drive west toward the Atlantic coast and into Lüderitz. Visit the rock church landmark for great views over the town and sea. Take time to feel the fresh sea breeze and walk around this unique coastal settlement.

Lüderitz to Sesriem
Push deep into the Namib Desert through towering orange and red dunes. Navigate through Spreetshoogte Pass, then stop in Solitaire to see vintage car wrecks and grab some snacks. You'll arrive at your glamping spot near Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei just as evening settles in for campfire time under countless stars.

- Day 10
Sossusvlei & Deadvlei
Start early to reach Sossusvlei at sunrise when the colors are at their best across the Namib. Enter Namib-Naukluft National Park and hike to Big Daddy, the highest dune, for views in all directions. Later, you'll check out the surreal Deadvlei with its white salt pan and ancient camel thorn trees against orange dunes.

Drive from the desert through the dramatic Gaub and Kuiseb gorges toward the coast. You'll arrive in Swakopmund where German colonial architecture meets African landscapes. Stop at Walvis Bay to photograph pink flamingos in the lagoon before settling into this unique coastal town.

Swakopmund

Palmwag to Etosha National Park
Drive to Namibia's wild heart - Etosha National Park. Once you pass through the gate, the reality hits: dusty tracks stretching out, wildlife all around. Begin your safari moving slowly through the park, watching for elephants at waterholes, zebras crossing the tracks, giraffes, lions, and if you're lucky, a leopard in the tall grass.

Etosha National Park
Your safari continues through Etosha as you head to the Etosha Pan where massive waterholes attract huge herds. You'll stop and watch as elephants, rhinos, lions and other animals come to drink. Explore the remote corners of the park where fewer tourists go, finding pure silence and animals living freely.

Etosha to Windhoek
