Itinerary
- Day 1
Keflavik to Selfoss
You'll land at Keflavik and pick up your rental car, then drive through the volcanic landscape surrounding the airport. The raw terrain here sets the tone for what's ahead. From there, head to Selfoss for the evening where you'll settle in and get some rest before the real exploration starts.
- Day 2
Golden Circle & Waterfalls
Start at Thingvellir where you'll hike through the Allmanagja Gorge and see Öxarárfoss waterfall. Next, drive to Haukadalur Valley to watch Strokkur Geyser erupt, then continue to Gullfoss waterfall. Stop at Seljalandsfoss to walk behind the 60-meter cascade, and finish at Skógafoss where rainbows form in the mist.

- Day 3
South Coast Beaches & Waterfalls
Drive along Iceland's south coast to see black sand beaches at Reynisfjara with towering basalt columns. Later, explore Dyrhólaey peninsula where you might spot puffins. After that, hike to the Sólheimasandur plane wreck through the black stone landscape, which takes some time but it's worth the effort.

Glaciers & Ice Lagoons
Hike in Skaftafell National Park to reach Svartifoss waterfall, which cascades over dark basalt columns. Then head to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon filled with icebergs and seals. By evening, you'll be at Diamond Beach where black sand meets glittering ice chunks, the perfect spot for photos.

- Day 5
East Fjords & Stokksnes
Your morning starts with an optional visit to Vestrahorn mountain on the Stokksnes peninsula, which reflects in lagoon waters. Drive through the East Fjords along the ring road, passing mountain peaks and wild reindeer herds. End your day in the fishing village of Djúpivogur to relax and take in fresh sea air.

Start with Dettifoss, Europe's strongest waterfall where water drops over 100 meters. Experience the geothermal landscape at Námafjall with bubbling mud pots and steam vents. Visit Lake Mývatn and the Hrívafjall volcanic crater, then finish at Godafoss waterfall before heading to Akureyri.

Akureyri & Whale Watching
Spend time exploring Akureyri's charming alleyways, cafés, and local shops. You can also drive along Eyjafjarður, Iceland's largest fjord, which stretches 60 km long and 24 km wide. Consider heading to Húsavík, a harbor town known for whale watching, to see whales and marine life from the water.

Snæfellsnes Peninsula
