What should I consider for travel insurance?

It's highly recommended to have travel insurance that covers medical expenses and also provides coverage for evacuation and repatriation.

Is it possible to extend our stay on Santa Cruz Island for two days and then finish the tour two days later to Papallacta

If you wish to end the tour in Santa Cruz and not continue with the group back to Quito, this is up to you but we're unable to book any extra nights or move the dates of the flight/compensate you for missed services. This would be at your discretion and we would sign you off the tour.

What are the options for airport transfers upon arrival?

Transfers from the airport to the hotel can be arranged for $70 USD. Alternatively, taxis are available for approximately $30 USD from the airport to the city center.

Can you accommodate vegan meals on this tour?

Yes, we can accommodate vegans on all our Ecuador/Galapagos trips.

Can I bring a hard-shell suitcase on the tour?

Hard-shell suitcases are fine, but keep in mind you'll need to carry them between accommodations and transport.

I highly recommend this tour of the Galapagos Islands. The accommodations were as nice as were locally available, the transits were all well-coordinated and comfortable, the guide was very knowledgeable about the islands and gave us a wealth of information, and the travel itinerary did a great job of taking us to the high point areas of each island. My only suggestion would be to spend two days on each island, so as to have more personal time to check them out and to just relax.Show more

Galapagos Islands are definitely worth visiting. Our tour took us to four islands, each one a little different with different animals. Transfers between the islands were easy and pleasant, the boat comfortable and safe. Accommodation varied by each island (some had AC, some just fans) but overall was nice. Hot springs at Papallacta are beautiful and having hot pools just outside the cabin door was great. Papallacta is about 3800 meters above sea level so some of us felt a little lightheaded.Show more

Overall the tour was just absolutely fantastic. Great tour guide and tons of activities! My only thoughts are that I wish I had longer on the last two islands in the Galapagos. The accommodations on San Cristobal and Floreana were not quite “upgraded”. Floreana has limited options so this is understandable. Also the flight to/from Galapagos was on a budget airline and the seats were TIGHT and there was a stop in Guayaquil which sucked up a considerable amount of travel time - a direct option would have been preferable or at least it would have been nice to have the option to upgrade our seat options. Overall though it was a great experience and I highly recommend!Show more
