I joined an Intrepid trip expecting a safe, respectful and enriching experience. While the destinations were beautiful, my trust in the company was seriously shaken due to inappropriate behavior from our tour leader, which I reported through Intrepid’s feedback process. Throughout the trip, I experienced multiple moments of discomfort involving blurred boundaries and a lack of professionalism from the tour leader, including taking unsolicited photos and behavior that felt invasive. I reported this clearly and promptly after the trip, expecting my concerns to be handled with care. Unfortunately, the investigation concluded as “inconclusive,” despite a detailed account and photographic evidence. I was thanked for my “courage” but ultimately offered no accountability or resolution—not even a partial refund for the disrupted experience. The guide was reportedly given internal training, but as a customer, I was left feeling dismissed. I was eventually asked to suggest a partial refund amount myself—something that should have been proactively addressed by the company, not placed back on the affected traveler. I chose instead to share this review as closure. Intrepid positions itself as a company that prioritizes safety and responsible travel, yet I did not feel that commitment was reflected in how my complaint was handled. If you are a solo female traveler, I recommend exercising caution and asking direct questions about how concerns are escalated and addressed. I sincerely hope the company improves how it supports travelers who speak up and implements stronger measures to prevent situations like this from happening again.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 10th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 10th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Intrepid Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
