Itinerary
- Day 1
Denver
You'll arrive in Denver and head to your hotel on your own. Your Holiday Director will meet with you this evening to go over the trip and answer any questions you might have.
- Day 2
Rapid City
Today you're driving to Rapid City through South Dakota's Black Hills. Along the way, you'll stop at Fort Laramie, a historic site where Chief Red Cloud signed a treaty with the Sioux. You'll reach Rapid City by evening, which sits on the eastern edge of the Black Hills landscape.

Mount Rushmore - Badlands National Park
You'll see Mount Rushmore with its famous granite carvings of Roosevelt, Lincoln, Washington and Jefferson. From there, you'll head to the Crazy Horse Memorial, the largest mountain carving under construction. After lunch, you'll spend the afternoon in Badlands National Park with its dramatic canyons, jagged formations and open grasslands.

Deadwood - Sheridan
The drive takes you through the Black Hills and into Wild West territory. You'll stop in Deadwood, a historic town known for visitors like Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. Later you'll head to Sheridan for the night.

Little Bighorn Battlefield
You'll visit the Little Bighorn Battlefield where General Custer and the 7th Cavalry fought Crazy Horse. A guided tour will walk you through the markers placed after the battle and explain what happened on that day.

Yellowstone National Park
You're spending the day in Yellowstone, the oldest national park in the country. You'll see Old Faithful erupting roughly every 93 minutes, check out the colorful Fountain Paint Pots, and walk around the yellow and orange hot springs. Keep your eyes open for bears, elk and buffalo roaming through the park.

Grand Teton National Park
You'll explore Grand Teton National Park with its snow-capped peaks, clear lakes and glaciers. The views are really something special. After spending time taking in the landscape, you'll return to West Yellowstone for the night.

West Yellowstone to Salt Lake City
You're heading to Salt Lake City, founded by the Mormons and named after the Great Salt Lake. You'll arrive with time in the afternoon to walk around and see what the city has to offer.

Canyonlands National Park - Moab
You'll drive to Canyonlands National Park to see the deep canyons carved by the Colorado River over time. The Islands in the Sky district gives you wide views of the canyon country below from various overlooks. You'll end the day in Moab.

Today you're at Arches National Park, which has the most red sandstone arches you'll see anywhere. These natural rock formations have been shaped by wind and water over millions of years into incredible shapes.

Mesa Verde National Park
You'll visit Mesa Verde National Park to see the cliff dwellings built by ancient peoples. Cliff Palace is the main attraction here, with over 200 rooms carved directly into the rock face.
