Itinerary
- Day 1
Reykjavik
You'll arrive in Reykjavik and connect with your group leader at a 6 pm welcome meeting. If your flight gets in before then, there's time to wander through the city's boutiques and grab coffee at a local café. Your group leader might invite everyone out for dinner afterward, which gives you a chance to meet the other travelers joining the trip.

- Day 2
Reykjanes Peninsula - Hveragerdi
This morning you'll head out to the Reykjanes Peninsula and start at the Bridge Between Continents, where you can actually stand between two tectonic plates. From there, you'll check out the bubbling mud pools and steam vents at Gunnuhver, which is quite something to see up close. Later you'll drive to Hafnarfjordur to meet with local artists and look around their community space. After grabbing lunch at a local restaurant, you'll continue through the geothermal areas of Krisuvik and Seltun before stopping at the historic Strandarkirkja church. By evening you'll settle into your accommodation near Hveragerdi for the night.

Hveragerdi - Golden Circle
You'll start your day at Iceland's Golden Circle route, beginning at Thingvellir National Park where you can see the Parliament Plains and the dramatic Silfra fissure cutting between tectonic plates. Next, you'll head to the geyser area to watch Strokkur erupt 15-20 meters into the air with its bright blue water. Then you'll see the sheer power of Gullfoss waterfall as it cascades down the Hvita River. Later in the afternoon, you'll relax in the warm waters of the Secret Lagoon, which is Iceland's oldest man-made geothermal pool. You'll return to your accommodation and can watch for the Northern Lights if conditions are right.

- Day 4
Hveragerdi - South Coast
Your day focuses on waterfalls along Iceland's South Coast. You'll start at Seljalandsfoss and walk right behind its cascading waters, which gives you a completely different view than most people get. After that, you'll head to Skogafoss, one of Iceland's largest waterfalls at 60 meters tall and 25 meters wide. Then you'll hike to the hidden Kvernufoss Waterfall nearby, surrounded by moss-covered lava cliffs. Later, you'll trek across Solheimajokull Glacier, one of Europe's largest ice caps. You'll have dinner at your accommodation and spend the evening looking up at the night sky for any sign of the Northern Lights.

Hveragerdi - Reykjavik
You'll travel back to Reykjavik where your group leader will take you on a walking tour to explore the city's history and culture. After the tour wraps up, your trip officially ends with no more activities scheduled. If you want to stay longer and keep searching for the Northern Lights, you should contact your booking agent ahead of time to arrange additional accommodation.
