Itinerary
- Day 1
Sintra to Cascais
Start your day in Sintra by visiting Pena Palace, known for its colorful architecture and hilltop location. Then head to Quinta da Regaleira to walk through its exotic gardens and see the mysterious initiation wells. The microclimate here keeps the area lush and green even during hot summers. After lunch, drive to Cabo da Roca to stand at Europe's westernmost point and take in the Atlantic views. From there, it's about 30 minutes to Cascais, a relaxed coastal town where you can spend the evening strolling the promenade or grabbing dinner by the water.

- Day 2
Batalha - Nazaré - Óbidos
Begin at Fatima Sanctuary, one of the world's most significant pilgrimage sites dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Spend time exploring the basilica and reflecting areas, then drive about an hour to Batalha. The Monastery there is a UNESCO site built by King João I in the 1300s and features incredible Gothic architecture. Continue north to Nazaré, famous for its enormous winter waves. Walk around the town and head up to Sítio da Nazaré for the ocean views from the clifftops. Finish by heading to medieval Óbidos for the evening. Walk the castle walls, wander the cobblestone streets, and try a traditional ginginha cherry liqueur served in a chocolate cup at one of the local spots.

- Day 3
Setubal - Arrabida - Cape Espichel
Cross the 25 de Abril Bridge heading south to Almada and visit the Christ the King statue for panoramic views of Lisbon and the Tagus River. Later, stop at a local winery for a guided tasting of Moscatel wine, learning about the region's production. Make your way to Palmela Castle perched high above the surrounding landscape with its own impressive views. From there, head to Setúbal where you can have lunch and try the local seafood specialties like grilled fish or fresh shellfish. Spend the afternoon driving through Arrabida Natural Park, stopping at hidden scenic spots along the way. Finish at Cape Espichel Sanctuary, a clifftop chapel in a quiet, dramatic setting overlooking the peninsula.
