      Lisbon - Sintra - Cascais (95 km)

      Meet at Marques de Pombal Square in Lisbon by 8:15 AM for an 8:30 departure. Start at Sintra's stunning Pena Palace before the big crowds roll in. You'll need 2-3 hours to see Sintra's UNESCO historic center. Be sure to try the local queijadas pastries. After lunch, visit Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point in Europe. The day wraps up with a scenic coastal drive through Cascais and Estoril back to Lisbon.

      Obidos - Religious Sites (325 km)

      Start early for Obidos to walk its medieval walls and explore its white-washed streets. Next is Alcobaça Monastery, Portugal's original Gothic church. The morning mass acoustics are beautiful if you time it right. Stop in Nazaré for lunch and watch local fishermen at work. Your afternoon includes visits to both Batalha Monastery and the Fatima pilgrimage site. It's a full day with 4-5 hours of driving time.

      Evora - Wine Region (265 km)

      Head across the Tagus River to Evora, a UNESCO site famous for its Roman temple and unique Chapel of Bones. Finish the day with wine tasting in Azeitão before returning to Lisbon around 6 PM. Summer visitors should bring water and sun protection as Evora often hits 100°F/38°C.

      Your trip starts with an airport transfer into Porto taking about 30 minutes. Try to schedule afternoon arrivals to avoid morning traffic that can add 20+ minutes to your journey. The streets here are steep and can be slippery in wet weather so pack good shoes. In the afternoon walk across the Dom Luis I Bridge to Vila Nova de Gaia for port wine tasting.       Final Morning and Departure

      Use your last morning to visit the Bolhão Market which opens at 8 AM or climb the Clérigos Tower for views over the city. You'll need at least 3 hours before international flights due to airport security procedures.
