Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
Your tour manager greets you at Cairo International Airport and drives you to your hotel in a climate-controlled vehicle. Once you check in, take time to go over your itinerary and confirm what time your guide will pick you up for the coming days.

Cairo to Luxor
Start with breakfast at your hotel, then head to Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus along with the Sphinx and Valley Temple. From there, you'll move on to the Egyptian Museum before wandering through Khan El Khalili bazaar in Islamic Cairo. Later that evening, transfer to Giza railway station and board the sleeper train to Luxor with dinner served on board.

- Day 3
Luxor
Your guide meets you at Luxor train station, and you begin exploring the West Bank of the Nile River. Visit the Valley of the Kings to see ancient tombs, then move to the Temple of Hatshepsut dedicated to the female pharaoh, and check out the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch, head to Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple complex before returning to your hotel by evening.

Luxor to Aswan
After breakfast, your air-conditioned vehicle takes you about 3.5 hours to Aswan. Check into your hotel, then explore the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk in the granite quarries. Later, visit the Temple of Philae on Isis Island, which honors the goddesses Isis and Hathor, before heading back to your hotel.

- Day 5
Aswan to Abu Simbel and return to Cairo
This morning starts early at 4:30 am with a breakfast box, then you drive approximately 3.5 hours to Abu Simbel. Spend time exploring the temples built for Ramses II and his queen Nefertari (these iconic structures near the Sudanese border were relocated entirely in 1968 to prevent flooding from Lake Nasser). After your tour, drive back to Aswan and board the sleeper train for an overnight journey returning to Cairo.

Cairo
You'll have breakfast aboard the train before arriving at Giza train station, where your representative greets you and checks you into your Cairo hotel. The rest of your day is free to relax, though you can opt for a side trip to see the Step Pyramid of King Zoser in Saqqara and Memphis if you're interested.

Cairo
You have the day to yourself in Cairo and can explore however you'd like. Alternatively, there's an optional trip heading north to Alexandria, where you can see Qaitbay Fort (built in the 15th century on the site of an ancient lighthouse), check out the new Library of Alexandria, and visit the Catacombs, a sunken Roman cemetery carved into bedrock. You'll return to Cairo by evening.
