Glasgow to Loch Lomond
You'll arrive in Glasgow, Scotland's largest city, which has a strong reputation for its music scene and distinctive architecture. Depending on when you land, there's time to check out the Kelvingrove Art Gallery or watch street performers along Union Street. After that, you'll head toward Loch Lomond and the Trossachs for your first night's accommodation.

Loch Lomond and Trossachs
Start your morning with a walk along the banks of Loch Lomond. At lunch, you'll join a haggis making demonstration and try Scotland's national dish yourself. If you've got time left in the afternoon, there's an option to travel east to Stirling and visit the medieval Stirling Castle.

You'll take a cruise on Loch Lomond and sample a local ale while you're out on the water. From there, you're driving through Glencoe Valley heading north toward Fort William. By evening, if you're interested, there's the option to grab dinner at the Black Isle Brewery bar, which attracts hikers and international travelers.

Fort William to Inverness
This leg takes you toward Inverness, the Highlands' main hub, traveling along the shores of Loch Ness. You'll stop for a traditional cream tea with views over the loch, and there's always the chance someone spots something in the water. Later, you'll explore Inverness itself, check out the shops, then settle into your accommodation for the night.

You're leaving the Highlands behind and driving south toward Edinburgh. Along the way, stop at the Highland Folk Museum to learn how people lived between the 1700s and 1960s. There's also a detour option to Aberfeldy if you want to try an award-winning hot chocolate at Iain Burnett Highland Chocolatier.
