    Bogotá

    You'll arrive at Bogotá airport and get transferred to your hotel in the colonial old town. After you clear customs and collect your luggage, the drive into the city takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic. Get settled in and rest up for the days ahead.

    Bogotá

    After breakfast, head out on a half-day city tour that covers La Candelaria, the historic colonial district. You'll see Plaza de Bolívar and walk through several old churches before heading up the cable car to Monserrate mountain for panoramic views of the city sprawling below. The afternoon is yours to wander around on your own, grab lunch somewhere, or rest at the hotel.

From there, you'll continue through Chiquinquirá and stop in Raquira, a pottery village, before reaching Villa de Leyva. This colonial village has cobbled streets and colonial houses surrounding a massive plaza. Spend the evening wandering around and taking in the atmosphere.
