  This tour had several problems. My hotel was listed as a 4 star, but was located in a part of town I did not feel comfortable in. It was an industrial area with no shops or restaurants nearby. The hotel itself was clean and spacious and the staff was very helpful. The operator changed the date and substance of one of the excursions so that they were both on the same day and both required a lot of walking. I ended up skipping the evening excursion because I couldn't walk anymore that day. The operator would not give me a credit because I didn't cancel 24 hours ahead of time, but I had no way of knowing that the first excursion would require so much walking. The operator also changed the meeting place on the first excursion. I had to take a taxi across town and almost missed the tor bus. The tour guide for the first location (Pompeii) was excellent and the excursion was well worth the time. Although the itinerary listed a tour guide, at the second location (Herculaneum) we were handed a mobile phone with an Ap on it. Both the location and the Ap were confusing. Too many ruins and too much walking. All in all, not a great tour.Show more

Regarding the hotel in Naples, please note that the hotel Magri’s is a 4-star hotel located near the central station and only 1 km away from the historic center Concerningfor the change of the tour, we are very sorry about what happened, but the supplier sent us a stop sales for that date and for this reason we proposed a change so as not to make you lose any experience. We notified her in advance and after her confirmation we made the change Exceptionally, we will refund 40.00 eur for the inconveniences For the shared tour Pompei & Herculanum, we do apologize that they did not meet your expectations. regards Tui Italia team

  I will continue my review as it somehow got submitted before I was finished. The pizza dinner was extremely disappointing, and 4 of us decided we did not want to come back for the pizza making class. I did notify Tui right away, at 3 pm the next day, but I have to say the communications provided by Tui were terrible. Just a lack of information all around. I did not receive a response from them until 1100 that night, through the hotel, and not via the website as per all other communication. They notified me to say someone would pick us up at our hotel for the pizza making class. I sent them another message the next morning, and did not hear back until today. Any plans made within our stay were completed 2 days ago. I really feel that Tui dropped the ball with our group. I will never book anything with them again.Show more

Concerning the tours, we do apologize that they did not meet your expectations. The first tour, Naples by night is a panoramic city sightseeing ending with a pizza tasting. Normally, it takes place in the bus/minibus, with a stop on a panoramic point ,where it is possible to enjoy the view as did. We will advise the supplier with your feedback. Regarding the pizza tasting, we will take note of your feedback but the pizzeria Toto’ Sapore, normally, has very good reviews on TripAdvisor and The Fork. Anyway, we forwarded your feedback to our supplier to improve the quality of the whole tour. It was a pity that you did not attend the pizza class, that is different from the mere tasting, therefore we decided to refund you for the missed tour. We do really apologize about miscommunication, but the email regarding the pickup information of the Pizza class was sent to the hotel in the early morning before we received your decision of not attending the class the day after. Please kindly note that we have an emergency line active 24 hours, well indicated on your welcome letter. We kindly ask all our guests to reach us out on that line if they need local assistance.   The accommodation provided at the NH Panorama was excellent. Centrally located and great staff. Our first night there was a night tour of Naples. The driver was a pleasant young man, with a vehicle with black tinted windows. There were 6 of us plus the driver. He drove us around but did not stop anywhere for us to get out and see anything, u til he stopped at a viewpoint, for us to take pictures. Great, except it was pitch black out and you couldn’t see anything. He could not even point us in the direction of Vesuvius, and did not know if he was facing east or west, north or south. He then took us to dinner at the same restaurant as the pizza making class to be held 2 days later. There was no explanation of our meal, what we were getting, and the service was terrible. Considering we were the only people in the restaurant at that time, we don’t really understand what the issue was.
