Lisbon
You'll arrive at Lisbon International Airport and get a complimentary transfer to your hotel. After checking in, you can settle down and rest before meeting your Travel Director at a local restaurant for dinner where you'll get to know the other travelers.

Lisbon
A Local Expert will guide you through Lisbon's Lower Town, starting with Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries. You'll walk around the Belem Quarter and tour the Cloister of Jeronimos Monastery, then grab pastéis de Belem from the historic patisserie. There's an optional dinner available if you'd like to try more local restaurants this evening.

Lisbon to Lagos
You'll cross the River Tagus heading south to Lagos, a fishing port on Meia Praia. The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace before checking into your hotel near the Algarvian coast. Fresh seafood restaurants line the shore with Atlantic views if you want dinner by the water.

Lagos to Evora
Today takes you to Evora, a medieval walled city and UNESCO World Heritage Site. A Local Expert will show you the Roman Temple, the 16th-century Chapel of the Bones, and the cathedral that blends Romanesque and Gothic styles. In the afternoon you're free to wander the historic streets or relax in the city park.

Evora
You'll head to Monsaraz, a white hilltop village surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. From the castle ruins you can see the Spanish plains, then a local boat captain takes you on a leisurely cruise on Lake Alqueva. A traditional Alentejo lunch follows at Sem Fim restaurant, then you return to Evora with your evening free.

Evora to Fatima - Tomar
The morning starts at Casa Relvas for a wine tasting of Portuguese grape varietals while learning about the family estate's water-saving methods. Then you'll head to Fatima, Portugal's most important pilgrimage site, and continue to Tomar. You can either explore the UNESCO World Heritage Convento do Cristo with its Templars' Rotunda or join a guided city tour that includes the Synagogue of Tomar.

Tomar to Coimbra - Douro Valley
In Coimbra you'll see the Old Town's highlights including the University of Coimbra (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and its baroque library. After that you'll travel through rolling hills and vineyards along the Douro River. A farm-to-table lunch with local ingredients and Port wine tasting happens mid-afternoon.

Douro Valley to Guimaraes - Porto
You'll travel through Northern Portugal's mountain ranges to Guimaraes, the birthplace of Portugal. There's time to see the Visigoth castle and walk medieval cobblestone streets before continuing to Porto. In Porto you'll explore the UNESCO World Heritage central district, visit Sao Bento Railway Station with its hand-painted azulejo tiles, and cross the Dom Luis I Bridge overlooking the Douro River.

Porto to Obidos - Lisbon
You'll visit Obidos, a fortified town with ancient medieval walls. Walk the cobblestone streets inside the town, then head back to Lisbon for your final evening. Your Travel Director has arranged a farewell dinner where you and fellow travelers can celebrate the memorable moments from your tour.
