Frankfurt to Main River
You'll board your river cruise ship in Frankfurt after flights arrive by 3 pm. Get settled into your suite, then head to dinner as the ship sets off on the Main River for an evening cruise. Make sure you're on board by 5 pm.

Main River to Würzburg
Start the morning with a German cookie baking demonstration right on the ship while you sail along the Main River. Later you'll disembark to check out a guided tour through a village on the riverbanks, then return for live entertainment. The ship cruises overnight toward Würzburg.

Würzburg
In Würzburg, you'll take a guided tour covering the Old Main Bridge, the fortress, and the baroque Bishop's Residence. If you're interested, there's an optional excursion to Rothenburg to visit the Käthe Wohlfahrt German Christmas museum. Afterward, wander through Würzburg's Christmas markets on your own. The ship then cruises overnight to Bamberg.

Once in Bamberg, join a guided sightseeing tour through this medieval city and see dozens of nativity scenes, from tiny ones to life-size. You'll have free time to browse Christmas markets, try traditional German food and drinks, and enjoy live entertainment before the ship heads overnight to Nuremberg.

After that, spend your afternoon at Nuremberg's Christmas Markets trying bratwurst, gingerbread, and mulled blueberry wine. The ship stays docked here overnight.
