Itinerary
- Day 1
Amman to Petra
You'll land at Queen Alia Airport in Amman and head straight to Petra, which takes about three hours by car. Once you get to your hotel and settle in, the afternoon and evening are open for you to do as you like. There's an optional cooking class at Petra Kitchen if you're interested (only runs Tuesdays and Fridays), or you can catch the Petra by Night tour to see the site lit up after dark.

- Day 2
Petra
After breakfast, you'll spend the entire day with a private guide exploring Petra. You'll walk through the Siq, that narrow canyon passage, to reach Al-Khazneh, the iconic carved facade. From there, you'll see tombs, temples, and the ancient amphitheatre, plus the Roman colonnaded street. If you have the energy, climbing the rock-cut steps up to Ad-Deir (the Monastery) gives you views from high up on the cliff face that are worth the effort.

- Day 3
Petra - Shobak Castle - Madaba - Mt Nebo - Dead Sea
This morning starts with a visit to Little Petra and the ancient Baidha Neolithic Village in the mountains, then you'll drive over the Heisha Mountains to reach Shobak Castle, a dramatic 12th century crusader fortress. After that, you're heading to Madaba to see its famous collection of ancient mosaics and St. George Church, which has a notable 6th century map of the Holy Land. From there, you'll stop at Mt. Nebo for views of the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Jericho, and possibly Jerusalem. By around 4pm you'll arrive at the Dead Sea to check in. Once your guide leaves, you'll have time to float in the mineral-rich waters and apply the therapeutic mud.

- Day 4
Dead Sea to Amman
This morning you can take another swim in the Dead Sea or book a spa treatment at your hotel if that appeals to you. After you check out at noon, you'll be driven back to Queen Alia Airport in Amman to catch your onward flight.
