Frequently Asked Questions
- When and where does the tour end?
The tour ends in Barcelona. There are no activities planned for the final day so you are free to leave at any time. Spend the day ticking off some of some of the suggested optional activities and further exploring the city!
- When and where does the tour start?
The tour starts in Lisbon, when you arrive in the city and check into your accommodation. A welcome meeting will be held between 5 pm and 7 pm, where you can get to know your travel group and tour guide, who will go over the details of your coming adventure!
- Do you arrange airport transfers?
Airport transfers are not included in the price of the tour and travellers will have to make their own way to and from the airport.
A taxi should cost around 20 - 25 EUR, and the journey is 20 - 30 mins depending on external factors. Please note that these prices are an indication only.
The Aerobus runs every day between 7:45 am to 8:15 pm, and leaves at 20-minute intervals for the city centre. You can purchase a ticket on board for 1.20 EUR (one ride) or 3.10 EUR (1-day ticket). Get off the bus at the "Restauradores" stop, cross the square to the red "Correios" (post-office) building and take the street next to it. This will lead you directly to Rua Portas de Santo Antão. Turn left and you will find the hotel on your left. - Can you assist with booking additional accommodation?
Of course we can! If you wish to arrange additional accommodation then please contact our customer support team once you have a confirmed booking.
- What is the age range?
This tour has an age range of 12-70 years old. This means children under the age of 12 will not be eligible to participate in this tour. However, if you are over 70 years please contact us as you may be eligible to join the tour if you fill out G Adventures self-assessment form. Please be aware that you must be 18 to travel unaccompanied on a G Adventures tour.
- I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?
There is no mandatory single supplement on this tour, and solo travellers can be paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip.
If you would prefer your own private room then you can book the "My Own Room" option for an additional charge. - Is there a hotel list available?
All accommodations are subject to change until 4-6 weeks before the departure date, and your specific accommodation details will be listed in your final tour documents. This is a list of accommodations that the operator will typically use on this tour:
Residencial Florescente
Hotel D. Luís
Hotel da Bolsa
Hotel Casa Del Pilar
Cool Sevilla Hotel
Expo Hotel Valencia
Hotel AA Viladomat
Hopefully, this list will give you a better idea of what kind of accommodation you can expect while on tour. - Are the flights included?
Flights before and after the tour are not included in the tour price and you need to arrange these separately by yourself once your tour is guaranteed. As we specialise in organising the best tours around the world for you, we are unable to advise on flight prices or book flights on your behalf. If you have not already booked your flights we recommend checking out the following link which is powered by Skyscanner - https://flights.tourradar.com
- What are the single supplement conditions?
The single supplement is completely optional. You are not required to pay a single supplement to join the tour. The tour price advertised is based on a twin share basis, if you are a single traveller you will be roomed with a passenger of the same gender. The single supplement optional cost is if you would like your own room on the tour.
- Will the accommodation be air conditioned with en-suite bathrooms?
On this trip you can expect to stay in small family-run hotels or pensions (with the exception of the start and finish hotels, which are often larger city hotels), which will vary a little in standard and facilities: some may not have elevators, air-conditioning or English-speaking staff, but most importantly all are locally-run, with some traditional character, and in excellent central locations to give you maximum time for exploring the sights. You can expect to find clean, safe, simple accommodation in convenient locations.
