- Day 1
Lecce
You'll arrive in Lecce, a city famous for its baroque architecture and detailed artistic work. It's often called the Florence of the South because of all the ornate buildings and decorative elements scattered throughout. Take time to get settled and walk around the old center to get a feel for the place.
Landmarks Lecce - Day 2
Lecce - Gallipoli
Today you'll cycle about 50km through typical Salento countryside, heading down from Lecce toward the coast. The ride takes you through rural landscapes and then reaches Gallipoli, a charming town right on the Ionian Sea. It's a good day of riding with nice views of the rural areas before hitting the water.

Landmarks Gallipoli - Day 3
Gallipoli - Santa Maria di Leuca
You'll ride another 50km today, this time following the coast to Santa Maria di Leuca at the southern tip of Salento. The name comes from Greek sailors who called it 'Leucos' meaning white, referring to how bright the area appears from the water. The coastal route offers different scenery than yesterday's inland ride.

Landmarks Santa Maria di Leuca - Day 4
Santa Maria di Leuca - Otranto
After heading north about 50km along the Adriatic coast, you'll reach Otranto, Italy's easternmost point. Check out the cathedral and the Aragonese castle, both important historical sites in this coastal town. The ride follows the eastern shoreline with water views for much of the day.

- Day 5
Otranto - Lecce
You'll cycle back to Lecce, covering roughly 55km through the Alumini lakes route. The path here is different from the previous days, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation and the scenic lakes. This final ride day brings you back to where you started, completing the loop.

Lecce
It's time to leave. Grab breakfast before heading out of Lecce. This is your departure day, so pack up and make your way to the airport or train station depending on how you're traveling.
