We did notice that the last review was from August 2023 - can I check this tour is still active and available for booking? Also what is the nature of the tour, is it tour guide led or is it more independent travel style (based on one of the reviews I saw)? Will there be other people that will likely book on, and if not, is there a minimum number before the tour will operate?

Are there optional tours for Arenal waterfall, hotsprings, Monteverde Cloud Forest entrance & hike, Manuel Antonio National park entrance fee and mangrove kayaking? What are their prices?

Yes, it is possible to add an extra night in Manuel Antonio. We require shared transfers from Monteverde to Manuel Antonio, and from Manuel Antonio to San José. Your departure flight from Costa Rica must be after 4:00 p.m. We also offer a similar package called Essential Costa Rica with Manuel Antonio that might suit your plans better.

Do the double rooms have 2 beds? My travel companion and I don't want to share a bed.

If you need two beds, just let us know when you confirm the booking to do the request to the hotels.

Can you please indicate if all hotels will have AC in the room ? that time of year is very hot and humid and im concern if there is no AC.

No, not all the hotels will have AC. Tortuguero area only have lodgment Lodge style. Monteverde area is cloud forest and the weather use to be cloudy, cold and rain. Unfortunately we can't guarantee you will have AC during the whole trip.

Are single rooms available? If os, how much?

Can this be booked as a solo traveller? Also, is there an option to book into a shared twin room with other solo travellers?

Yes, you can book as a solo traveller, the shared room is not an option.

Are passengers required to be vaccinated? Do you accept an exemption letter? What would the price be for a private tour? Can we modify the itinerary to make it longer?

Rates for January are not available yet. You can review them around October. Itineraries can be modified according to preferences (beach or mountain days) for an additional package cost. Some hotels and restaurants prefer guests have a complete vaccination schedule.

Our trip to Costa Rica (Amazing Costa Rica with Destination Services) was a fantastic experience. All the transport arrangements, hotels, and included tours exceeded our expectations. There is a lot of travelling time but if you want to see several different areas in one trip I would recommend this tour. We had a few extra days, one at the beginning, three at the end, and Destination Services were very helpful in adding this to our itinerary. With hindsight I wouldn’t have had an extra day in San Jose ( not that much to see, not that much to do), If we go back to Costa Rica we would not hesitate in using Destination Services.Show more

The tour isn't a group tour - you share transport between destinations, however it is very much your own holiday and you can do whatever you wish outside of the organised excursions. The hotels were all great and exceeded our expectations. 10/10 would recommend. Everyone in Costa Rica have been super welcoming and friendly. We have just returned from Costa Rica having had an amazing tour with Destination Services Costa Rica. The hotels were good especially Las Lagos and Poco a Poca and Pachira Lodge which were excellent and far better than we were expecting. Torteguero was our favourite place and we loved the boat journey. The guide Leo was excellent and friendly and very knowledgeable. The organisation was phenomenal. Every journey the driver was there on time. My only tiny Cristian would be that the timings of the journeys between each hotel were very optimistic and always took a lot longer than advised. I would have preferred to know the worst case scenario and then been pleasantly surprised if we got there earlier. Overall though the service the guides the hotels were excellent.I felt we got great value for money. The country is beautiful the wildlife amazing and I would highly recommend this tour and this company to others.Show more

  There is no group departure for this tour. It begins at the airport, where you'll be picked up and taken to your hotel in San José. Transfers between destinations are shared, operating door-to-door between hotels. The only part of the tour where you'll be accompanied by a guide is in Tortuguero, where you'll stay 3 days and 2 nights at the lodge. It's possible you may coincide with other travelers during your stay, but this is not guaranteed. The hotels included are those suggested in the package, or similar in category, depending on availability at the time of booking.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
