Itinerary
- Day 1
Lucerne
You'll arrive in Lucerne and get settled into your hotel. This gives you time to walk around the town, grab dinner somewhere nearby, and prepare for the cycling week ahead. Take it easy this first day and get familiar with where everything is located.


- Day 2
Lucerne - Weggis - Beckenried - Horw
Start cycling over gentle rolling hills with Lake Lucerne and Mount Rigi in view. You'll pass through the Küssnacht promenade, then take a boat from Weggis to Beckenried to break up the ride. From there, cycle along the lake toward the Horw peninsula where Mount Pilatus comes into view. The route covers about 50 km with 605 meters of climbing, so you'll feel it in your legs by the end.

Landmarks Lake Lucerne Mount Rigi Mount Pilatus Horw - Day 3
Emmenbrücke - Brunauer Berg - Werthenstein - Lucerne
This morning you'll cycle through Emmenbriicke heading toward the Brunauer Berg ridge. The landscape opens up here with farms and fields spreading across the Emmental valley. You'll pass by Werthenstein Monastery, then follow the Little Emme river back down to Lucerne. The full loop is roughly 55 km with 395 meters of elevation gain, making for a moderate day in the saddle.

Lucerne - Sursee - Lake Sempach
Ride through quiet forests past fields and farms as you head toward Sursee, a nice town sitting on Lake Sempach. Alpine peaks and Mount Pilatus frame the views along the way. Plan to stop for lunch in Sursee, then take narrow paths back along the lakeshore directly to your starting point. You're looking at about 60 km total with 375 meters of climbing.

Küssnacht - Lake Zug - Immensee - Rotkreuz - Lucerne
Cycle back to Küssnacht on Lake Lucerne, then continue onward to Lake Zug. A boat ride from Immensee to Zug breaks up the day, after which you'll cycle along the lakeshore to Rotkreuz. A forest adventure trail brings you back to Lucerne from there. This route is around 50 km with 535 meters of ascent, so it's a solid day of riding.

- Day 6
Emmenbrücke - Lake Baldegg - Heidegg Castle - Lucerne
Head past Emmenbriicke toward Lake Baldegg, which has over 300 plant species worth seeing. Heidegg Castle sits nearby with a well-maintained park and cultural landscape to explore. There's an optional rose garden if you want to add that to your visit. The full ride back to Lucerne is about 60 km with just 280 meters of climbing, one of the easier days this week.

Lucerne
Have breakfast and prepare to leave, bringing your cycling tour around Lucerne to a close. You'll head home with plenty of memories from the lake views, forest rides, and small Swiss towns you've passed through over the week.
