During your trip, you will visit the following destinations: San José – First night Arenal – 2 nights Monteverde – 1 night Manuel Antonio – 2 nights San José – Final night, making it more convenient to reach the airport for your departure flight. For your return flight, you must arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure. Please do not worry about the transportation arrangements; we will schedule your transfer accordingly to ensure you arrive on time. Regarding your question, this is not an escorted tour with a permanent guide. Your package includes shared shuttle transfers between destinations. We will coordinate all departure times from each hotel, and the transportation service will provide door-to-door transfers, picking you up and dropping you off directly at your hotels throughout your itinerary.

Can we arrange 4 star hotels instead of 3 stars? If so, how much would the final price be?

Do the optional activities change depending on the time of year? I have been on other tours where the optional activities got canceled because the water level was too high or it was too windy and then I was left with nothing to do that day. I want to make sure that won't happen on this tour.

The tour agent, Destination Services provided timely communication. They were responsive on the platform and over emails. Overall, the entire tour was well organized, transportation were timely (barring traffic conditions), and hotels were generally good quality. We got a whirlwind taste of Costa Rica over the week. There is a lot of driving involved from location to location ranging from 3.5 hrs to 6.5 hrs. Since traveling took up such a large part of the day, it felt like a "wasted" day. The stop at Monteverde was short, giving only about a true half day at the location. The stops at La Fortuna and Manual Antonio provided more time to see the area. We stayed an extra day in San Jose to explore the city. The whole tour went well, without any issues.Show more

Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before November 19th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 19th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Destination Services Costa Rica. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Destination Services Costa Rica will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Destination Services Costa Rica" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
