Itinerary
- Day 1
San Jose
Your local representative meets you at the airport and arranges a shared transfer into San Jose. After checking in at your hotel, the day is yours to explore the city and get a feel for the area. Take time to settle in and wander around on your own schedule.

- Day 2
San Jose to Tortuguero National Park
You'll head out early at 6:00 am for a shared transfer toward Tortuguero National Park on the North Caribbean Coast. Stop around 8:30 am in Guápiles for breakfast, then continue on to La Pavona dock. From there, you board a boat and arrive at the lodge around 1:00 pm. After lunch, meet your guide at 2:30 pm for a boat expedition through the Tortuguero Canals exploring the lagoons and hidden waterways. The rest of the afternoon is free time.

- Day 3
Tortuguero
Start with breakfast at the hotel, then meet your guide around 9:00 am for a nature walk on the lodge's private trails. The morning gives you free time to cool off in the pool and relax if you'd like. Around 2:30 pm, head out with your guide to visit the small village of Tortuguero. Return to the lodge later to unwind, with lunch and dinner both included.

Tortuguero to Puerto Viejo
After breakfast and checkout, board a shared boat transfer around 9:30 am heading to a restaurant in Guápiles where you'll have lunch. Around 1:30 pm, meet the car rental representative at the restaurant to pick up your rental vehicle. From there, you'll self-drive to Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean coast, arriving around 4:30 pm. Check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel or nearby.

Landmarks Puerto Viejo 
- Day 5
Puerto Viejo
Have breakfast at the hotel and spend the day however you'd like in Puerto Viejo. Relax on the beach, take a walk through town, or explore the surrounding beaches and areas on your own. It's a completely free day to do what appeals to you.

Puerto Viejo to Arenal
After breakfast and checkout, you'll self-drive at whatever time works for you to La Fortuna de San Carlos, heading toward Arenal Volcano. Once you arrive, check in at your hotel in Arenal and have the rest of the day to relax and check out the natural surroundings at your own pace.

Arenal to Tamarindo

After checking in at your hotel in Tamarindo, spend your free time relaxing at the resort or wandering through the beach town on your own.
