Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival
You'll arrive at your hotel and get checked in, giving yourself time to settle before heading out on the hiking adventure. This is your chance to rest up, familiarize yourself with the area, and prepare for what's ahead in the Alps.



- Day 2
Königssee to Weißbach
After a transfer to the starting point, you'll hike through Zauberwald forest and reach Lake Hintersee. From there, the path takes you deeper into Berchtesgaden National Park with tall rockfaces surrounding you as you cross into Austria. You'll make your way down the alp-adventure path, passing roaring waterfalls in Seisenbergklamm ravine before arriving in Weißbach by evening.

- Day 3
Maria Alm to Dienten
A short morning transfer gets you to Maria Alm, where you'll start climbing toward the Pinzgauer Grasberge mountains. The high-altitude hike takes you through wide alpine landscapes with small wooden huts and several peaks offering views. You'll finish the day in the mountain village of Dienten at the base of Mount Hochkönig.

- Day 4
Dienten to Bad Gastein
You'll walk through Gasteinertal valley with the Hohe Tauern massif visible ahead. Following a gentle river as your guide, you'll cross via the high-altitude path over deep gorges and varied trails. The hike ends at Bad Gastein, a historic spa resort with natural thermal springs where you can relax after hiking.

- Day 5
Bad Gastein to Mallnitz
This is the highlight stage of your crossing. You'll follow an old bridle path through Hohe Tauern National Park, climbing steadily to the Mallnitzer Tauern pass at 2,450 m. Taking a rest at Hagener Hütte along the way, you'll then descend into Mallnitz with massive peaks surrounding the valley.

Mallnitz to Obervellach
Starting in Seebachtal valley near Lake Stappitzer See, you'll see glaciers from Mount Ankogel towering overhead. Navigating through several gorges using via ferratas, you'll cross past waterfalls that continue alongside you into the Möllthal valley, finishing at Obervellach, a quiet health resort.

Obervellach to Döbriach
A short bus ride takes you south through Möllthal valley to Spittal an der Drau. From there, you'll follow the Way of St. James heading uphill to Mount Wolfsberg and across the Millstätter mountain ridge. Passing the Lake Egelsee nature reserve, you'll eventually reach the deep blue waters of Lake Millstätter See and hike along its shore to Döbriach.

- Day 8
Departure
You'll head back to Königssee/Berchtesgaden by train or bus, which takes about 5 hours with around 4 changes. This gives you time to reflect on the hike and prepare for your journey home, or you can arrange an extension if you'd like to stay longer.
