  What a fabulous tour! We had 11 friendly people on our small group tour and a brand new air conditioned bus (our driver excitedly told us!). Our wonderful tour leader, Seckin, and our friendly driver made the tour even more enjoyable. We were picked up at Istanbul airport, even though we flew in a day earlier, and were driven to Izmir Airport and assisted with our bag drop off when we flew to Athens. When we landed in Athens, we were picked up again and escorted to our hotel. 5 star service. The Turkey leg of our tour was wonderful. Make sure you do the balloon ride in Cappadocia. It is a highlight and magical. The days can be a little long and tiring, but worth it. The hotels were all good quality and comfortable and the food buffets were good. The only negative thing we can say is that the last 2 days in Athens were not a "small group tour" as advertised, which was disappointing. We were driven around from hotel to hotel, loaded on and off 2 big coaches and were part of a large group tour, which mainly did the Acropolis museum and the Acropolis. There were a few people that were disappointed and left the tour before the end. We lost our tour guide on several occasions due to the crowds. The last day on the 3 island cruise was again very busy and crowded (although you are alerted to this in the tour information). We took advantage of upgrading to the VIP room and it was worth every cent to get away from the crowds. There were only 8 of us in the section and the day before I believe there were 32.Show more

  An excellent tour. Great itinerary, accommodation and food. The only blemish was our tour guide in Santorini who was unhelpful, rude, not accommodating, & more of an irritant than useful. Her response to an unexpected situation at the start of the tour involving a group of Spanish speaking people who were on the English speaking tour, was to become angry & frustrated. She was unable or unwilling to adjust or to pivot to manage the situation & in fairness to her she was left to manage a situation of which we later learned your tour coordinator was aware but failed to inform her of. A small group of Spanish speaking members of the tour were allowed to join the English speaking Santorini tour, knowing there would be no Spanish translation. They accepted this condition, but obviously had forgotten it as they demanded she speak Spanish during the tour despite knowing the guide was unable to do so. Nevertheless, her response was inappropriate. For the walking portion of the tour she chose to not provide information for any of us. She did speak on the bus but we were unable to hear or understand what she was saying. But the most disturbing part was when she shared with some of us that she was used to dealing with people from the “elite” cruises ant not people like “us”. We were highly offended & surprised that even if that’s how she felt that she would actually say this out loud. We recommend she not be used again but as well your coordinators communicate better with the on your on-shore tour guides any unusual circumstances of which the guides should be ware.Show more
