Ninh Binh - Bai Dinh - Trang An
This morning you'll head out early from Hanoi toward two UNESCO World Heritage sites. First stop is Bai Dinh Pagoda where you'll see its impressive Buddhist statue collection. Lunch features local goat meat dishes, then you'll take an afternoon boat ride through Trang An's dramatic karst landscape and caves, with local boatmen doing the rowing.

- Day 3
Hanoi to Halong Bay
You'll depart early from Hanoi toward Halong Bay. Along the way there's a stop to taste local green bean cake. At Hon Gai Pier you'll board your luxury cruise, check into your cabin, and have a welcome drink. Lunch happens while cruising, followed by kayaking around Cap La Island in the afternoon. The day ends with a sunset party on deck and a multi-course dinner.

- Day 4
Halong Bay to Da Nang
Start early with optional Tai Chi on the sundeck before a Western breakfast. You'll explore the hidden Thien Canh Son Cave, then take part in a Vietnamese cooking demonstration where you learn to make Nem Cuon (spring rolls). After lunch on board you'll disembark at Hon Gai pier and head back to Hanoi by mid-afternoon. From there you catch your flight to Da Nang and transfer to your Hoi An hotel.

Mekong Delta - My Tho - Ben Tre
Today takes you through scenic rice fields to My Tho and the Mekong Delta's waterways. You'll visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride past stilt houses, fruit plantations, and fishing villages. Lunch happens at Tortoise Island in an orchard garden. Later you'll cruise Ben Tre's less-touristy area on a traditional hand-rowed sampan under water coconut trees, enjoy seasonal fruit and honey tea while listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music, and visit a family business showcasing rural life.

You'll travel 60 km from Ho Chi Minh City to visit the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels, a network of over 200 km that served as underground cities during the war. Watch an introductory video about construction, then spend about an hour exploring the tunnels themselves. After that you'll relax with tea and cassava (the guerrilla's food during wartime) before returning to the city.

Phnom Penh
Start with breakfast at your hotel, then visit the National Museum to see over 5,000 artifacts including statues and objects from the Angkorian era. Next you'll explore Wat Phnom Temple, one of the city's most important pagodas built in 1373 on an artificial hill. In the afternoon you'll visit the sobering Killing Fields of Choeng Ek and Tuol Sleng Museum (S-21 prison), important historical sites from Cambodia's recent past.

Siem Reap - Angkor
Following breakfast you'll spend a full day exploring the Angkor complex. Start at the South Gate of Angkor Thom to visit Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanaka, and the Elephant and Leper King Terraces. Then continue to Ta Promh, the famous jungle temple overtaken by nature. After lunch you'll check out smaller but beautifully preserved temples including Thommanon, Chaosay Tevoda, and Ta Keo. Finish with Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world, then head to Bakheng Hill to watch the sunset.
