I will be traveling from Liberia to San Jose by bus and am trying to determine the best location to get dropped off so I can meet you for the 11:30 am departure. can you assist?

That's correct, the bus pass only includes 2 nights, the rest would need to be booked on your own as this gives you the freedom to stay in each city as long as you want. The bus pass can be used for 1 year once you activate it.

Where do we sleep for the rest of the time?

This is a hop on hop off bus pass with activities. It does not include any nights. 2 nights are included only for the overnight tour which includes a jungle lodge stay in Tortuguero. This pass is for travelers that do not want a fixed trip, you decide what day they want to travel to each location, how long you stay in each city and when to take part in the activities in the pass. This is why accommodation is not included.

We had a very nice time at the San Blas island of Yanis. It's a small paradise! Plenty of time to relax. Why not 5 stars? Small things, like the chaos at the waterfront when you need to be directed to the correct boat and there might be some more activities posible on the island, for example as simple as a football (as you don't bring that your self). In the tour description was a sunken gunboat, but as nobody was able answer our question in English and I can't talk Spanish, we where not able to find it. I think that language has been a barrier for us as for example the optional visit to Kuna Yala Village was never offered of mentioned to us. The description of the trip mentions a 4x4 jungle drive. To set the right expectations: the route does indeed pass through the jungle, but it follows a well-paved road, so it wasn't quite the experience we had anticipated. This feedback is to improve evenmore as the overal trip was just amazing! I loved every minute of it and if you are doubting.... don't. Just go!Show more

San Blas islands are really amazing. Chichime has few tourists compared to some of the other islands. The first night I was the only tourist on the island. The hosts are preparing fresh seafood for lunch and dinner and one boat trip for visiting other islands and to go snorkelling was included. Accomodation is simple, but beautiful with electricity only a few hours in the evening. The drive from Panama City to the jetty is very scenic and during the boat trip you pass some very beautiful islands. Overall an amazing trip.Show more

It was a very nice 3-day trip to the world of Tortuguero Laguna Lodge. The facilities and the service were excellent....
It was a very nice 3-day trip to the world of Tortuguero Laguna Lodge. The facilities and the service were excellent. The tour guide Walter did an excellent job. The only thing we didn't like was the return transfer. We had to take a cab from our hotel Vilas del Rio to the Wyndham Garden pick-up point. A direct pick-up would have been possible in terms of traffic. Therefore one star less. It was a wonderful three-day trip into the world of the Tortuguero Laguna Lodge. Both the grounds and the service were outstanding. Our tour guide, Walter, did an excellent job. The only thing we were not pleased with was the transfer service to and from the lodge; on both legs of the journey, we had to take a cab from our hotel, Vilas del Rio, to the designated pickup point at the Wyndham Garden. A direct pickup would have been entirely feasible from a traffic standpoint. For this reason, we are deducting one star.Show more

  No, the 2 nights are in San Blas Island. This is a flexible travel pass and you will be traveling independently. You can stay as long as you want in each destination but you need to book your own accommodation. We will book/reserve all your transportation and day tours. Transportation is mainly by public buses, but we also book with local mini van shuttle suppliers.

  Can the cost be adjusted, in that case? I just discovered that my travel companion can only accompany me on the Costa Rica leg of the tour, with transfer into Panama.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 90 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
