Kolkata Arrival
You'll land at Kolkata airport and get picked up for a transfer to your hotel. Check-in happens at noon, though early check-in depends on what's available. The rest of your day is open, so you can settle in, rest after travel, or just take things easy.

That afternoon you can check out the Mahabodhi Temple complex, including the Vajrasana under the Bodhi tree and the surrounding temple grounds.

Rajgir - Nalanda Excursion
Starting after breakfast, you'll visit the Mahabodhi Temple, then take a day trip to Rajgir and Nalanda. In Rajgir, you'll see Vulture's Peak and Sattapanni Cave, both important Buddhist sites from Buddha's lifetime. Later you'll explore what remains of Nalanda's ancient monastic university before returning to Bodhgaya for the evening.
