  1. Day 1

    Schärding or Passau

    You'll arrive in either Schärding or Passau and get settled into your accommodation. Schärding's Silberzeile lane has that baroque feel you should walk through, or if you're in Passau, head to the New Centre where it's been redesigned for pedestrians and you can see where the Inn meets the Danube.

  2. Day 2

    Schärding to Schlögener Schlinge

    Start cycling from Schärding along the Inn River toward Passau, then pick up the Danube cycle path through the upper valley. You'll pass the Engelszell monastery near Engelhartszell and pedal through Niederranna to reach the Schlögener Schlinge, which is a dramatic 180-degree bend in the river. A ferry gets you across to your hotel on the other side.

  3. Day 3

    Schlögener Schlinge to Linz

    The route takes you through the green Eferdinger basin and the market towns of Aschach, Ottensheim, and Wilhering before you reach Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. Spend time in the historic old town with its pubs and restaurants, or head up to Pöstlingberg mountain for views of the area, or take a walk through Donaulände park.

    Linz to Grein

    You'll detour from the Danube to check out St. Florian and its Augustinian monastery, then continue to Enns, Austria's oldest town. In Enns, see the 60-metre town tower on the square or visit the archaeological museum Lauriacum. From there, get back to the river and cycle on to Grein, a beautiful baroque town where you can see Austria's oldest still-performing municipal theatre, the maritime museum, or Greinburg castle.

    Grein to Maria Taferl

    Cycle along the Danube to Grein, a beautiful baroque town. You can check out Austria's oldest still-performing city theatre, or visit the maritime museum or Greinburg castle. After that, continue your ride to Maria Taferl where you'll have wonderful views of the blue Danube from where you're staying.

    Stop in Melk to see the abbey that sits above the Danube, then cycle into the Wachau region with its fruit orchards and vineyards. There's a wine tasting organized for you here, which is really worth doing since this is such a famous wine area.

    You have a relaxed final ride into Vienna. Get settled into your accommodation, then explore the city on your own schedule. St. Stephen's Cathedral is worth seeing, Mariahilferstraße is the shopping street to check out, and grabbing a Viennese Americano and Sachertorte at a traditional coffee house is a must. If you want something different, take a ride in one of Vienna's famous Fiaker cabs.

    Ebike fitting and briefing was totally inadequate. It lacked sufficient details and advice for proper bike usage, and battery charging. Proper information was not provided and lost in the presenter's attempt to be humorous and clever.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
