Itinerary
- Day 1
Galle to Yala
Start early and drive 3 to 4 hours from Galle along the southern coast heading toward the Deep South. Once you check into your hotel, you'll have a traditional lunch before heading out on a 4-wheel drive safari at Yala National Park. There you can look for elephants, leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles, and other wildlife moving through the park.

Yala to Ella
After breakfast, drive 2 to 3 hours toward Ella with a stop at Rawana Waterfall on the way. You'll visit the Nine Arches Bridge and catch the afternoon train passing by, then hike up to Little Adams Peak to watch the sunset. Your driver will drop you off and pick you up for dinner, which you can choose on your own in town.

- Day 3
Ella to Kitulgala via Hatton
Wake up early to catch the sunrise through Ella Gap, then eat breakfast before heading to Ella Railway Station. The train ride takes 4 to 5 hours through tea-covered hills toward Hatton. After lunch, drive 1.5 hours to Kitulgala village and settle into a river eco-lodge on the Kelani River where you can spend the evening relaxing.

Kitulgala to Kandy
Have breakfast at the eco-lodge, check out, and drive toward Kandy, the cultural and historical hill capital. Lunch comes at a traditional restaurant before you visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a UNESCO World Heritage site within the royal palace complex. You'll have the evening free for dinner on your own.

Kandy to Dambulla
Start with early breakfast, then drive 30 minutes to Balana Village for a 3-hour guided nature walk through Sri Lankan countryside and village life. You'll return for lunch at a traditional restaurant with local cuisine. In the afternoon, you can choose between visiting a local spice garden or exploring the Golden Cave Temple in Dambulla, then relax in the evening with dinner on your own.

Dambulla to Negombo
After early breakfast, head to Sigiriya Lion Rock in the center of Sri Lanka's cultural triangle. You'll explore the ancient rock fortress complex, walk through gardens, and climb to the summit for views across the landscape. Stop at Dambulla Vegetable Market to see tropical fruits, have lunch at a traditional restaurant, and then drive 3 to 4 hours to Negombo beachtown with a rest stop in Kurunegala. Spend your final night by the beach with sunset views and free time.
