I'd be interested in the Mariachi route tour in November this year. I would like to extend my holidays in Cancun/Tulum for a few days and was wondering if it is possible to book this without the flight back to Mexico City at a reduced price or to utilise the flight a few days later.

We evaluate the destinations week by week to make a decision on whether the tour will operate or not since we depend on the evolution of the pandemic, vaccination and opening according to each country. I recommend that in your country of origin or residence you find out about the requirements and restrictions you have to enter the country of destination to avoid any setback.

More and more towns and countries are not allowing unvaccinated passengers to enter restaurants, shows, places and even hotels. Due to the international health situation, a printed vaccination certificate as well as on your mobile devise is advised to bring with you along the tour, since it will be required in many countries as a passport to access means of transport, museums, restaurants, breakfast rooms, etc. Remember that not having this certificate may complicate the development of your tour. Europamundo is not responsible if you cannot enter a venue or carry out any activity because you do not carry this document. As well as the cancellation of services for not being able to enter a country.

The Mariachi dinner per advertised in the itinerary for Dec 24th, 2022 did not happen and we were told that the restaurant was closed on 12/24. Why didn’t they know this? If they are an experienced travel agency in Mexico, they should know the restaurant condition on Christmas Eve. Again on Dec 31st, 2022 - we were promised the Fire and Stone show but that did not happen. Again, it’s because it was New Year’s Eve and not much was opened. This is poor planning from Europamundo. The local people told us this was not a surprise to them. Everything is shutdown on New Year’s Eve around 5pm. I would not recommend anyone to book with Tourradar or Europamundo. We feel that we have been cheated by this tour.Show more

Even though it is not our responsibility that on Christmas Eve there were no mariachis in Plaza Garibaldi or that the Light and Sound show was not in Mérida on the 31st, Europamundo COMPENSATED WITH A NEW YEAR'S END DINNER that was not included in the Itinerary. You enjoyed in Mérida a typical place of food with drink included accompanied by MARIACHIS. Nevertheless, we regret that this has not been taken into account as a good memory for you. I tried on numerous occasions to have europmundo give us the name of our originating hotel and they would not. We had a six week vacation planned and that information was needed for location in Mexico City. We are independent travelers and like to explore the individual towns and cities in our own. The Around Mexico tour was obviously a Spanish speaking tour unbeknownst to us. The itinerary was very lacking in detail. The first half of the tour we were with people from many different Spanish speaking countries. We all got to know each other and were friendly even with the language barrier. The second half of the tour we were combined with 12 people from Spain and a new tour guide. There were no introductions and that grou was traveling together and resented our group joining their’s. They had a very detailed itinerary and ignored the guide making their own schedule which meant we were waiting for them on numerous occasions. They were argumentative with the guide and the Spanish speaking guests in our original group. We had very long days and up to 10 hour bus rides. This tour needs to be reconfigured as to distances. The bus was only half full luckily or it would have been much worse. The towns are not prepared for big busses. We had to walk to hotels and sightseeing spots due to the size of the bus. It is not safe to have the driver drive the long days and in the dark for all of these hours. Europomundo should reconsider it’s trips in Mexico. The tour was a real disaster on an organizational level. The hotels did not have luggage service due to the covid without the driver knowing and after telling us to leave our bags in the car to find them in the room later he told us to run to pick them up from the van and pick them up to the room (at a second floor without elevator), thanks for the help dude. The Teotihuacan Pyramids could not be visited because they are closed due to Easter and Covid. Guide knew it from two weeks before but did not say it until the same day and on the way to Teotihuacan. The visit to San Miguel de Allende could not be done without a prior QR (which is needed from August 2020) and they did not have it (high level travel agency ...) the first thing the guide said was to miss the visit and go back, without our insistence and availability to pay for an extra lunch (the one selected by our "expert" guide that was on the other side of the city, where we wait 20 minutes to be attended even being the only guests on the room, and where the service was awful) we would not have seen the city. The use of the funicular in the Pipila that was included was not given to us and we went there by stairs, with the excuse of the queue of passengers. No prediction was made with the necessary PCR tests and it was achieved at the last minute by insistence, we the travelers connected to the wifi of a restaurant to find out that the place proposed was closed, places in route were opened and the guide did not stopped, the guide once again intended to rule out a day of visits. The guide has shared our images of the tour without permission (he asked for a picture all together for him and shared it with the mexican and spanish travel agencies, this is not the way to work with customers). The misogynistic comments of the driver / guide were absolutely out of place throughout the tour and inadmissible. Bad experience and not recommended at all.Show more

Your reviews are terrible. Any problems anticipated in 2023 with providing everything on the tour as advertised?

  We evaluate the destinations week by week to make a decision on whether the tour will operate or not since we depend on the evolution of the pandemic, vaccination and opening according to each country.
  
  I recommend that in your country of origin or residence you find out about the requirements and restrictions you have to enter the country of destination to avoid any setback.

  More and more towns and countries are not allowing unvaccinated passengers to enter restaurants, shows, places and even hotels.
  
  Due to the international health situation, a printed vaccination certificate as well as on your mobile devise is advised to bring with you along the tour, since it will be required in many countries as a passport to access means of transport, museums, restaurants, breakfast rooms, etc. Remember that not having this certificate may complicate the development of your tour.
  
  Europamundo is not responsible if you cannot enter a venue or carry out any activity because you do not carry this document. As well as the cancellation of services for not being able to enter a country.

  The itinerary of the circuit cannot be modified, we can add additional nights at the beginning and end of the circuit in Mexico City, not in Oaxaca

What does the "Mariachi Tour" in Mexico have to do with Mariachi? How are the places visited during the tour related to Mariachi?

Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 22nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 22nd, 2026, a minimum payment of $125 is required to confirm your booking with Europamundo. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 50 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Europamundo will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Europamundo" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
