  This was my wife's and my first time to Sri Lanka and were a bit anxious about how the tour would go. Now after completing the tour, if I could give a 7 star rating instead of 5 I definitely would. Kavishan (Kavi) our guide arrived on time in an immaculately clean late model Toyota Hiace that was just perfect for our tour. Kavishan turned out to be such a great asset not only to Lanka Safe Tours but is also a great ambassdor for tourism in Sri Lanka generally . He was always punctual, friendly and polite and is a very skilled and safe driver. But the best part was the amazing way he helped us navigate the incredibly rich tapestry of Sri Lanka's culture, customs, cuisine, religions, history and ancient architecture. His depth and breadth of knowledge seems boundless and truly made our tour a most memorable and unforgettable experience. With his vast experience, patience and professionalism; we could totally relax and truly enjoy our Lanka Safe tour in comfort and safety. No problem could not be solved by 'Mr Magic' Kavishan. Top tip - take on board any suggestions he makes as he is truly passionate about ensuring his clients get the very best experience and value for their time spent in beautiful, magical Sri Lanka. We had a wonderful experience of this country thanks to our driver, Chami , who shared all his vast knowledge of his country and his habits. Not only he was our driver but he was also our guide. Thanks to him, we enjoyed unusual places and restaurants. We even saved some money when he advised us the best value for money places and bargained with locals for us. We were able to call him day and night without notice. His generosity and kindness made him a friend to us. We would definitely recommend the Lanka Safe Tours company and our driver in particular for a trip in Sri Lanka.Show more

  Excellent Sri Lanka experience with Lanka safe tours I found Lanka safe tours by chance, started making contact on WhatsApp with Dinesh and appears who is the manager. I read so many great reviews about Dinesh , that I was determined to choose Dinesh for our trip. I booked the hotels with Dinesh help and advice in order to make sure that the hotels are good choices. I gave Dinesh our itinerary for 8 day and they provided the price. Which was really value for money. Dinesh added things to do in our itinerary which we wouldn’t have known about or rearranged according to the time and distance, again things we would have not been aware of. We started in Negombo Heritance hotel really nice beach, clean, great service with good beach. Dinesh took us to the fish market, and the lagoon tour, this was my favourite part. We headed to Dambulla where we stayed in Kalundewa retreat again very nice hotel in the middle of the jungle, a great experience. Dinesh took us to cave temple, it was a very nice temple, sigiriya rock, we went to a Spa and elephant safari. These were all planned without waiting or haggling for the price. It was just effortless. We went on to Kandy, where Dinesh suggested to see a Gem museum, Battak factory and fire show. Again all suggested by Dinesh , mostly free things to do. We stayed at Amaya Hills which had great views but very dated facilities.6 Dinesh was ready the next morning to take us to Nuwara Eliya, he took us to Glenloch tea plantation which we didn’t even have to organise and it was free. We had a tour of the tea factory, saw the tea plants and were given different tea to sample. We headed to Ella we stayed at Chill vile, a great boutique hotel with excellent views. Dinesh again was ready first thing in the morning to take us to Adam’s peak. When we got to 9 Arch bridge, Dinesh said he can’t go through as the toad is very narrow, but he got us a tuck tuck return , he said it is 4 km to walk which might be long in the heat, he was absolutely right because the climb down to the bridge was not easy at all so I am glad he gave us the advice. If you are travelling alone, we would have not known. He always waited for us at the location. After that we headed to Ella town to eat in Chill restaurant which was owned by the same owner as our hotel but recommend by Dinesh . This was a very nice place to eat and chill. Very trendy, totally recommend it. We then headed to Tangalle where we stayed at Anantara the most luxurious hotel ever. Dinesh drove very nicely everywhere , not fast at all and very safe. On the road he would inform us of important places. It was nice to have chats and ask him about the local information. We then went Unawatuna , we arrived at the hotel, Dinesh suggested to drive to Gaulle and spend the afternoon there. We looked around and had lunch whilst Dinesh just waited for us to finish sightseeing. On our last day , Dinesh took us to Colombo which I really don’t recommend, heavy traffic and really bad pollution. And then next day drop off to the airport, very sad. Honestly we didn’t have to wait not even a second for anything, Dinesh was always ready and waiting. All of it was in our timetable. Dinesh had a nice and comfortable car fully air conditioned. He provided a great service with a smile. If we wanted to eat, he would search for the best place to eat. Organising Safaris, spa, all was done by Dinesh He even walked with us to the tourist ticket offices to ensure we were ok. On our trip I heard so many tourists trying to organise transport and wasted so much of time to find the right price and route.   Dinesh kumara from Lanka safe tours organized a most wonderful trip for us covering so many interesting sights in the Northern and Eastern parts of Sri Lanka e.g. Wilpattu national park, Mihinthale, Avukana, Sgiriya, Anuradhapura. We were very lucky that l dinesh picked a most expert and charming guide with chami who not only taught us about the sights but a lot about Sri Lanka culture, wildlife and life in general. We stayed in the most wonderful resorts on the way (Ulagalla and Vil Uyana) where you basically had nature all around you in a very peaceful and spiritual way. Dinesh nd Sam instilled the desire in our entire family group of 10 people to come back to Sri Lanka very soon and experience more of the friendliness and peace you are surrounded with here.Show more

  Dinesh was a great manager of the tour. The locations that he suggested was great and the driver that he hired to drive us around was a very safe driver. He always pulled to the side of the road to make calls Booking was very easy. Dinesh was in constant communication and ensured I understood the itenary and customized it to the number of people and the places we wanted to visit Since we arrived a day early we stayed at a local hotel and Dinesh and Salim the driver arrived the following morning. Punctuality is one of the key things that set Dinesh and Salim. We never had to wait for them On the first day Dinesh treated us to king coconut. Which was so fun. We visited a lot of places in short amount of time and the different guides that Dinesh found at the different sites were knowledgeable and friendly All in all a good trip I would say of all the places. Lion rock is not to be missed, yala National Park, pollanaru and Galle and Mirissa. We didn’t get to see much of Ella and nuwara Eliya due to the weather.Show more
