Our Newfoundland & Labrador Viking trail starting in Halifax primarily spends time in Newfoundland & Labrador with one night in Halifax at the beginning of the tour. This tour includes night stays at the following properties: Cambridge Suites (Halifax, Nova Scotia), Marine Atlantic Ferry (overnight crossing), Sea Echo Motel (Port Aux Choix, Newfoundland & Labrador), Northern Light Inn (L'Anse au Clair, Newfoundland & Labrador), Haven Inn (St. Anthony, Newfoundland & Labrador), Shallow Bay Motel for two nights (Cow Head, Newfoundland & Labrador). Some of the highlights for this tour includes: Meet and Greet Event Atlantic Canadian Tour Director or Driver Guide Gros Morne National Park - UNESCO World Heritage Site Western Brook Pond or Bonne Bay Scenic Boat Tour in Gros Morne (weather permitting) "Screech In" Ceremony Whale Watching Boat Tours (weather permitting) If you are looking for a tour that includes more of the Maritimes as well as Newfoundland & Labrador, may I suggest our 18-day Enchanting Islands and Circle Newfoundland tour. This tour visits Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland & Labrador.

My daughter (29) and I (52) want to book a 10-12 day trip for this summer. We do not have any mobility issues. The only thing my daughter asked is that we have the opportunity to see puffins and whales. So we are asking for recommendations and info from you if any of your tours might work for us!

I would suggest our 12-day Newfoundland & Labrador's West to East tour. We have a July 17th - 29th departure date with a few seats left. This would have a boat tour in St Anthony, which is a great spot for whales, and this also includes a boat tour in Witless Bay, which would be great for the puffins.

Could you price this trip if we were to join at St john's hotel instead of halifax?

For this tour, the only other start option would be to start in Deer Lake/Corner Brook on day one instead of Halifax. It would then become a 7-day tour with different start dates. This tour would begin and end in on the Western side of the province, and never travels as far as St. John's. For all of our Newfoundland tours, there is no option that begins in St. John's unfortunately.

Are the ferry from Halifax to Newfoundland included in the tour?

With the Halifax departure, the ferry to Newfoundland will be included. The ferry will be an overnight crossing in which they will have a private cabin for the night. Please note this tour would end in Deer Lake Newfoundland, they will be dropped off at the airport therefore will need to make own arrangement home at the end of the tour.

When is it available for booking?

My friend and I are looking at booking in 2025. She is diabetic and I eat vegetarian, can that be accommodated with the meals?

We can certainly accommodate dietary requests with the meal options included on our tours.

Is this tour a self driving tour? How are we driving between the different destinations?

The tour is an escorted motorcoach tour with transportation between locations of a full size motorcoach. The escorted tours are not recommended for children under the age of 12. These tours are mainly senior age travelers.

The rate for the tour would be $5697 CAD per person on our regular group departures (including taxes) and this would include the nightly accommodations, 23 meals, 3 boat tours (weather permitting) as well as the attractions listed on the itinerary.
