Itinerary
- Day 1
Chennai
You'll be met at Chennai Airport and driven to your hotel for check-in. The afternoon is yours to settle in after traveling, or if you're feeling up to it, your car and driver are ready to take you out exploring. Most people use this day to rest and get oriented before the week starts.

- Day 2
Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
After an early breakfast, head into Chennai to see Fort St. George and St. Mary's Church, then make your way to Kapaleshwar Temple and San Thome Cathedral. From there, drive to Kanchipuram, which has hundreds of temples throughout the city. You'll see Ekambaresawar Temple and Kailasanthar Temple, the latter known for its incredible silk work. Later you'll head to Mahabalipuram for the evening.

Pondicherry
Spend the morning walking through Mahabalipuram's UNESCO World Heritage site with a guide who'll explain Arjuna's Penance, the Five Rathas, Shore Temple, Tiger Cave, and Krishna's Butter Ball. In the afternoon, drive to Pondicherry and check into your hotel there by evening.

- Day 4
Chidambaram - Kumbakonam - Tanjore
After breakfast, visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville with a guide to learn about the spiritual communities there. Then drive toward Tanjore, stopping in Chidambaram to see Nataraja Temple. You'll have lunch at a local restaurant along the way, then continue on to check out the temple at Kumbakonam and its brass factory. Before reaching Tanjore, see temples at Darasuram and Gangaikondacholapuram.

- Day 5
Trichy - Chettinad
After breakfast, explore Brihadeeshwara Chola Temple and the Thanjavur Palace and Art Gallery. Then drive to Chettinad, but stop first in Trichy to see Rockfort Temple sitting on an 83-meter high rock, plus the old fort and temple of Lord Vinayaka. You'll end the day in Chettinad, walking through the grand mansions that make this region historically significant.

Madurai
Start with the famous mansions in the Karaikudi area and visit Pillayarpatti Temple. Later, take a local market tour to pick up souvenirs and try regional specialties. After that, drive to Madurai and visit Meenakshi Temple in the evening. You'll get to see the old Dravidian architecture and stay for the evening Aarti ceremony.

Madurai to Chennai
Check out from your hotel in Madurai in the morning and drive to Madurai Airport to catch your flight back to Chennai. From there, you can board your onward flight home.
