Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha
Your day centers on the Cultural Heritage Centre, which is Africa's first facility dedicated entirely to cultural exploration. When you arrive, you'll walk through galleries organized into history, wildlife, and soul sections. There's quite a bit to see here, including African art, traditional crafts, and ethnographic artifacts. You'll come across displays of masks and Verdite carvings, plus some well-known sculptures throughout the space. The centre also features Tanzanite stones, so if you're interested in minerals and gems, that section is worth your time. During your visit, you'll watch performances about Tanzanian tribes, particularly the Maasai, which gives context to what you're seeing in the galleries. Lunch is included with your tour, so you won't need to worry about finding somewhere to eat separately. Plan to spend most of your day here since there's a lot of ground to cover between the different sections and the performances.
