Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi to Mai Chau
Start early from the Opera House in Hanoi Old Quarter and catch a bus heading to Mai Chau Valley. You'll make stops at a local market to see what's sold and then pass through the scenic Thung Khe Pass. Once you arrive in Mai Chau in the afternoon, you'll get on a bike to ride through traditional Thai villages and rice paddies, and stop by a local stilt house to learn how people live there. The evening is yours to do whatever you want, whether that's walking around or just relaxing after the day's travel.

Mai Chau to Pu Luong
After breakfast, you'll check out from the lodge and travel by van to Pu Luong. From there, you trek through the terrace rice fields and jungle to reach Hieu Waterfall, where lunch is waiting. The rest of the afternoon is open for you to take a swim, relax, or walk around the village and nearby jungle before heading back to the lodge for the night.

Pu Luong to Hanoi
Have breakfast while taking in the views from the lodge, then head out trekking through rice terraces and remote villages where Black Thai minorities live. You'll check out Doi Cave, the largest cave in the area, known for its bat population. Lunch happens at the Eco Garden Restaurant. After that, you'll have some free time before the van picks you up to take you back to Hanoi, getting to the Old Quarter by evening.
