  This tour through Oman was an exceptionally enriching and well-balanced experience, covering much of the country and offering a genuine insight into its landscapes, culture and people. Over approximately 4,000 kilometres, the itinerary showcased Oman’s remarkable diversity — from stunning coastlines and dramatic mountain ranges to ancient villages and the tranquillity of the desert. The programme was very well organised, thoughtfully paced and professionally managed by GidOman, with clear and reliable communication throughout. A defining element of this journey was our guide and driver, Aziz. It is immediately apparent that guiding is not merely his profession, but his true calling. Aziz combines extensive knowledge with an exceptional ability to read people; he was highly attentive to our needs and perceptive of our moods, often anticipating what was required without being asked. His experience and sound judgement were evident throughout the trip. A particularly good example was his decision to postpone our visit to Wadi Tiwi until the following morning. Upon arrival, the site was overcrowded, and visiting it at that time would have been far from ideal. Thanks to Aziz’s decision, we returned early the next day, when the atmosphere was calm, the air fresh and only a few visitors were present — making it a truly memorable experience. Aziz is also an excellent and responsible driver, which contributed greatly to a relaxed, safe and comfortable journey over long distances. Throughout the tour, he generously shared his knowledge not only of Oman’s history and geography, but also of Arab culture, customs and socio-economic contexts. His warm and natural sense of humour added to the enjoyment of the trip. Oman itself is a country of extraordinary beauty and left a deep impression on me — especially its majestic mountains and unspoilt landscapes. Thanks to Aziz’s patience and experience, we made numerous photo stops and were able to capture wonderful memories. Oman also felt exceptionally safe, and as a woman I felt comfortable and at ease at all times. I wholeheartedly recommend travelling through Oman with GidOman. The organisation was professional, communication was clear, and the itinerary was comprehensive and well designed. The journey exceeded my expectations in every respect and left a lasting impression. Oman is a country I would gladly return to in the future.Show more

  I found the tour very enjoyable and educational. It was very well organized by the company and communication was clear and relatively quick. Gidoman was very professional and organized. The tour itinerary was cleverly planned giving us a taste of a variety of areas of Oman including Muscat, an amazing coastline to Salalah, breathtaking views from mountain ranges and a look at 2000 year old villages, ending with a spectacular evening in the sand dunes. Our driver/guide, Aziz, made the trip even better. He drove responsibly and showed a complete knowledge of what we were passing sharing details all the way. He also paid attention to to our expressions and behaviour and satisfied all of our needs without us asking. He was very perceptive and and went beyond my expectations of a guide. I also enjoyed his warm sense of humour. Thank you everyone for a great holiday.Show more

But the true value of this tour is the wonderful guide and driver AZIZ. This is what makes the difference. AZIZ is incredibly competent, welcoming and funny. He will passionately teach you the essentials of Oman's customs and history. He can solve any difficulty and is always in solution mode to give his guests the best possible experience. AZIZ is one of the best guides I have met while traveling around the world. A thousand thanks AZIZ for your remarkable and unforgettable support.   We chose the tour because we wanted to see as much of Oman as possible and to see it’s huge variety of stunning natural beauty. From beaches to mountains, wadis to hill top ancient villages, sand dunes to waterfalls. Oman has so much to offer and our guide Aziz made the experience wonderful. He ensured that we were happy throughout our two weeks and encouraged us to try new experiences - way beyond our expectations. We tried lots of local restaurants that we would never have found. We were in Oman when heavy rain flooded lots of areas and we had to cross deep water and negotiate mountain roads covered with rocks - we were never worried as Aziz is an excellent driver. He is a great travel companion - good sense of humour, easy to get on with and flexible according to our needs. Highly recommend the tour and Aziz.Show more

  The tour itinerary was conceived by our guide Aziz, who through his extensive explorations of his country has included many of the most beautiful places of Oman in this tour. We hiked through wadi canyons, camped on the beach, swam to waterfalls rode camels amid sunset dunes of sugar-white sand , and explored ancient villages, experiencing Oman in so many wonderful ways.
