This was our first time to India and we booked a tour to eliminate the stresses of organizing our itinerary of local tours and accommodation. Alkof was good at communicating and accommodating our wishes when planning the trip. Our tour manager met us at the airport and we had a great driver for our 9 day tour. We did have some issues arise with the local freelance guides that met us in each city as they weren't familiar with the itinerary we were given and often we didn't end up seeing all the destinations listed. Many guides also want to take you to their friends shop for a sales pitch to buy overpriced items. When we communicated this concern to Alkof our next guide in Jaipur seemed much more honest and straightforward. Most days we didn't have a choice of where we ate lunch as we were dropped at a restaurant obviously geared for overseas tourists. The food was safe but overpriced. Alkof offers a generally good service and is responsive to concerns but I feel if they want to cater to international travelers they should *clarify if points of interest on itineraries are set or a list of options to choose from *Give a written guide for avoiding getting scammed and how to appropriately tip in India as EVERYONE expects tips along the way * Make sure guides are aware of itineraries, know they are paid by the tour company and not the client, and are not acting with ulterior motives *Give options for more authentic local cuisineShow more

Actually, in this tour we provide local guides at every destination, who are expert in their field and have much knowledge about all local attractions, and we didn't faced any concern before, and tipping is never included in our tours but we have noted your feedback, and we assure you that on your next trip to India, we will provide you a complete escorted tour so won't face any concern with local guides, also from now and onward we will make it mandatory in our company to share information on tipping with all our international guests in written and we will also share information on tipping on our website and our partners websites for better customer experience. Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 19th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 19th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Alkof Holidays. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
