Does this tour operate in July?

There is 1 summer version of the program called Magical Fjord Adventure. It is not a group tour with a tour leader but a program designed for clients to travel on their own. We provide the relevant documentation and support while on the tour. We have a similar group program called South Norway by Train and Boat, however the program does not typically run during the month of July. Currently we have the dates for 2027 online and we will be adding the dates for 2028 next year.

What is the Oslo hotel for the tour?

Unfortunately we have closed this specific departure for Vision of the Fjords due to lack of interest. I would like to propose one of the other departures 6th March or 20 March. We can arrange a pre-night if you are interested in the same hotel as the main tour. 6 March and 20th is Thon Opera. 6th March is already guaranteed to materialize since we have already 5 people joining the tour. 20th March if you join will be also turn to confirmed by reaching the minimum of 4 participants.

Will this tour be running in late May 2026

Unfortunately this particular tour will only be operational in the winter months. We have a self guided version on this tour in the summer that may match your dates.

Can I cancel my optional excursion?

Yes, you may cancel any optional excursions you've booked, and refund processes can be initiated.

This tour was excellent. Stephani, our guide was very helpful. We was available during our travels and at mealtimes to answer questions. He also helped us with our luggage on the train. The hotels were all excellent and the breakfasts and meals at Flam were amazing. The hotels were also close to the stations so we didn't have to carry our luggage too far. The Flam Railway is really one of the great railway journeys of the world and we travelled on it twice! The cruise on the fjord was amazing The scenery was spectacular. It was a wonderful and an experience I will always remember.Show more

Very well organized, great communication through the site, Stefano was very helpful and informative. Accommodations were excellent - better then expected. The two dinners included in Flam were fabulous. European breakfasts are always amazing but the Flam one was out of control wonderful. This tour is pretty independent meaning you do not hang out with the group much. It includes transportation, hotel accommodations, breakfasts and guidance. You purchase the smaller tours separately.Show more
