  Just about everything that could go wrong did go wrong. The biggest issue experienced was a clear lack of communication between the tour organizer and the 3rd party companies running the day trips and transport. The transport drivers didn’t speak a word of English. They buses were in appalling condition - prime example is one broke down on the way to the airport. The driver was yelling, through the bags out the back on the ground and no one knew what was going on. Reported it to the organizer who then took some action to speak to them. Accommodation bedding was horrible. Although we were only in the hotel rooms for 4 hours due to the extremely late flights and transport. The air conditioner didn’t work in some locations but as it’s passed midnight, nothing could be done. The day trip organizers didn’t follow the route and locations planned by the tour organizer. When I questioned it after the day ended, it was only then the tour organizer told me the guide couldn’t take us there for ‘this reason’ and ‘that reason’. Nothing was discussed by the guide on the day. The guide also missed the lunch stops. Specifically said ‘no we don’t have lunch on todays trip’ to everyone on the bus. I sent a message to the organizer and he called her and then she had to apologize and say ‘I don’t have any information about it, so I didn’t know’. First day we were picked up at 4:30am. Flight to pamukkale. Tour ended at 4:30pm. Then a 3 hour drive to Kusadasi in preparation for the Ephesus tour. At the hotel at 7:30pm. Had to wake at 7am for the Ephesus trip (no issue here). Full day in Ephesus. Finished at 4:30. 1hr drive to the airport. 8:30pm flight to cappadocia. Arrived at 10:30pm. Waited at the airport for another flight so they could fill the bus. Left at 11:30pm. Got to the hotel at 12:30am. Had to wake at 4:00am for pickup for hot air balloon trip. Got 3 hours sleep. Full day tour. Finished at 5:00pm. 6:00pm transfer to airport for an hour drive. Flight left at 8:15pm. Arrived into Istanbul at 10:00pm. Back to hotel at 11:00pm. Nothing went to schedule - too much waiting for other people and other flights. Therefore 2 nights of limited sleep. Not enough to get through all the activities. Food in pamukkale and Ephesus was horrible - like a road side restaurant. Cappadocia was good food and restaurant. All the day trips take you to other locations not indicated on the itinerary by the tour organizer. Everyday we went to a ‘leather factory’, ‘carpet factory’ and ‘ceramic factory’. These are just scam locations. I understand the manufacturing and bargaining is part of the culture but they preach that they are the largest manufacturer of leather in Turkey and under the control of the Turkish government and make products for all the major brands such as Gucci, Chanel, Prada - and they stock these items in house. But everything is requested in $US. They are desperate for a sale. You can easily take another 60-70% off the marked prices. You have to work for it. We were offered a Turkish rug for $1600US. 15 minutes later by the time we were walking out the price was down to $500 with a suitcase supplied to pack it and take it on the plane. They just brought this suitcase out from around the corner. Doesn’t take a lot of effort and I question the authenticity of any item or factory that you are taken to.Show more

Since the cars are man-made, they can malfunction, the first thing happened to you, we spent a lot of effort and quickly allocated a new vehicle for 10-15 minutes without making you suffer, which is important, and allowed you to continue your tour without delay. The tour you have selected is not a Private tour. You have purchased a regular group tour. Regular tours shall involve a short shopping tour where you will have the chance to see traditions but also have the chance to buy some very special handmade souvenirs to take home with you.
