We loved our Alkof Holidays tour of Northern India and would recommend this tour to anyone who would like to see the historical and beautiful sites of Northern india with knowledgeable guides, expert drivers and comfortable hotels. We have travelled extensively as independent travellers and were a bit hesitant to join a tour but the excellent value for money as well as the chance to be part of a very small group and experience the real face of India safely and efficiently with local guides was well worth it. Our guides in each destination were funny, engaging and totally on the ball at all times. Ravi, our guide in Varanasi made what could have been a very confronting experience very easy and our final driver Summit Kumar was so delightful. He happily taught us some Hindi and was forever patient and caring with us. Not to mention being an excellent driver in some really heavy traffic. Thank you to all our drivers, guides and Alkof Holidays for an experience we will always treasure.Show more

The trip was fabulous.. from start to finish the organisation was seamless... the tour was organised in a way that we experienced so many different regions a different aspects of the Indian culture... the guides were great especially Ravi who accompanied us in Varanasi... He was so kind and truly cared that our India experience was the best it could be and his knowledge was second to none.. The transport was great and I’d like to give special mention to Sumit Kumar our driver on a couple of occasions who added an extra dimension to our holiday by teaching several of us some Hindi language... He looked after us and our belongings at all times and his driving skills in the crazy Indian traffic were exceptional..Our hotels were clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. I must say that from the moment we booked our holiday six months before we left the communication with Alkof Holidays was awesome.. Emails were answered promptly and Varun was always ready to help with all my queries... Our experience on this tour was wonderful and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Alkof holidays if you want a truly genuine Indian experienceShow more

In particular Ravi, our guide in Varanasi and Summit Kumar our driver for a lot of our trip were so kind and went beyond their roles to ensure that our trip was seamless. The tour is fast paced but very manageable and we learnt and experienced so much. The tour operator was in touch at all times to check we were ok. Thanks for a wonderful time.Show more

Visited Northern India with my girl friend Julia, and we are fallen in love with the culture and traditions of the country, people wear colourful dresses, visited a very old house in Jodhpur it was amazing, shopping on the local streets of Rajasthan was amazing too. I think I need one more break to visit India again this time for at least 1 month. Thanks Alkof Holidays for arranging such a nice trip for us. I wish to visit India again soon. Recommended.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 21st, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 21st, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Alkof Holidays. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
