We understood from the detail that we would have an English speaking guide, we did not. We had a driver who was unable to give us any details of any of the historical sites that we visited so unless there were signs, we left none the wiser. The driver was a very nice man but the language barrier made for long, awkward, silent journeys. The hotels accommodation was incredibly basic. One hotel was so filthy we refused to stay and paid for alternative rooms elsewhere. On our final two nights we ended up somewhere not listed on the original itinerary and the accommodation was ghastly, a stay that totally ruined the holiday for us. Overall, a dreadful experience and one we do not wish to repeat. A definite waste of money.Show more

We were a 19 year old and a 56 year old traveling, and we both have had the time of our life. Sri Lanka is for all. Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 10th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 10th, 2026, a minimum payment of $50 is required to confirm your booking with Capital Lanka Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 25 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
