    Carmen

    Asked on March 24th, 2026

I am interested in booking the tour from 17 September until 28 September 2026. Please can you advise on the best internal flights to purchase for the trip during that time for Buenos Aires to Iguazu and Iguazu to Rio (including links to cheapest place to purchase them)? We would also be interested in adding Corcovado to the trip on the day where we go to Sugarloaf Mountain (to see Christ the Redeemer). How much extra would that cost?

    Flights / Transfers
    Tour Details
    • Tangol ToursOperatorWritten March 2026

Regarding your interest in Corcovado (Christ the Redeemer), please note that this tour is not currently included in your itinerary. However, we have two great ways to add it:

Option A (As an Addition): You can add this as an extra tour on September 27th (your free day). If you choose to add it this way, the total additional cost for 2 adults is 200 USD.

Option B (As a Replacement): We can replace your scheduled tour on September 25th (Sugarloaf Mountain) with this combined Corcovado & City Highlights tour instead.

The Ascent: Our day begins at 09:00 AM with a pick-up from your hotel. We head towards Corcovado Hill to visit Christ the Redeemer, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, standing at 710 meters high. The ascent is done by van through the Tijuca National Forest, offering beautiful natural views before reaching the monument.

The View: Once at the top, you'll enjoy a privileged panoramic view of Rio, including Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, and Sugarloaf Mountain.

Football & History: After descending, we'll head to the iconic Maracana Stadium. We will stop for photos and learn about its history (external visit). The tour continues through downtown Rio to visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian, a unique pyramid-shaped building with stunning 64-meter-high stained glass windows.

City Landmarks: We'll also pass by Cinelandia Square and the Rio Opera House before returning to your hotel.

Included: Hotel pick-up/drop-off (Central, Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon zones), ascent by van, and specialized English-speaking guide.

NOT INCLUDED: Meals and drinks. Entrance fee to the Maracana Stadium (we stop for photos from the outside). Any other personal expenses.

To align perfectly with your itinerary, you should look for the following routes:

September 21st: Route AEP – IGR. Pro-tip: I highly recommend booking from Aeroparque (AEP) rather than Ezeiza (EZE). AEP is located right in the city, very close to your hotel.

September 28th: Route IGU (Iguassu, Brazil) – GIG (Rio de Janeiro).

Airlines operating these routes: Aerolíneas Argentinas, LATAM & GOL: These are the standard, full-service carriers. They offer more frequent flights, better terminal locations, and generally higher standards of punctuality and customer service. GOL is particularly strong for the connection between Iguazu and Rio.

Flybondi & JetSmart: These are the low-cost carriers. While their initial prices are lower, please keep in mind that they often charge extra for everything (luggage, seat selection) and their punctuality/cancellation records are not as reliable as the standard airlines.

If you ask me, I suggest going with Aerolíneas Argentinas, LATAM, or GOL. For a multi-destination trip like yours, paying a little more for the peace of mind and better service quality is usually worth it. However, feel free to choose the option that best fits your preference!

Would like to know if we get picked up at the airport no matter what time we arrive at the airport.

    • Tangol ToursOperatorWritten March 2026

      Regarding your domestic flights:
While flights are not included in your package, I am happy to provide you with the recommended options below so you can book them directly on the airlines' official websites.

April 13th: Buenos Aires (AEP) to Iguazú (IGR)
I suggest aiming for a mid-day flight so you don't have to wake up too early and can still enjoy your afternoon in Iguazú.

      - Aerolíneas Argentinas (Recommended): Flight AR1790 | Departs 13:30 | Arrives 15:25 | Duration 1h 55m
      - JetSmart: Flight JA3140 | Departs 06:20 | Arrives 08:14 | Duration 1h 54m
      - JetSmart: Flight JA3144 | Departs 12:30 | Arrives 14:24 | Duration 1h 54m

April 16th: Foz do Iguaçu (IGU) to Rio de Janeiro (GIG)

      GOL: Flight G31861 | Departs 10:15 | Arrives 12:15 | Duration 2h 00m
      GOL: Flight G31391 | Departs 16:35 | Arrives 18:40 | Duration 2h 05m
(Note: International flights are not included in your package and must be booked separately.)

      Regarding Airport Pickups:
Buenos Aires: You have a private transfer service included. We will be there to pick you up regardless of when your flight lands.

Iguazú & Rio de Janeiro: These transfers are operated as regular shared services. If your flight arrives in the middle of the night or very early morning, we would need to upgrade these to a private service for an additional cost.

Rio Transfer Specifics: Upon exiting the arrivals hall, our staff will be waiting with a company sign. The shared service operates between 08:00 and 21:00. Each passenger is entitled to one medium suitcase.

Entrance Fees: You can purchase your tickets online or directly at the park entrance.

To ensure you have no financial surprises, please note the following items are not included in your package:
      - International and domestic flights
      - Travel insurance
      - Entrance fees
      - Meals (unless specifically mentioned in your itinerary)
      - Personal expenses

Important Visa Information: Since I don't have your nationality on file, please note that for U.S. and Canadian travelers, an electronic visa (eVisa) is required to enter Brazil. Since your travel date is approaching, please apply as soon as possible, as entry into Brazil will not be permitted without a valid eVisa.

Yes, we can handle the booking for you, or if you prefer, we can simply recommend which flights best adapt to your itinerary so you can book them yourself. If you choose to book these through us, the total price is 690 USD per person.

    • Tangol ToursOperatorWritten February 2026

If you or your companion hold US, Canadian, or Australian citizenship, you will be required to obtain an e-Visa to enter Brazil. This process is done entirely online, but it typically takes a few weeks to be processed.

    Asked on January 25th, 2026

Looking at the Argentina & Brazil 12 day tour but note the internal flight from Puerto Iguazu to Rio is not included. I have had a look for flights but there don't appear to be any direct flights. Is that correct?

    Flights / Transfers
    • Tangol ToursOperatorWritten January 2026

Regarding your question about the flights: you are actually looking at the correct region, but the key is the airport location. For the most convenient and direct options to Rio de Janeiro, you should look for flights departing from Foz do Iguaçu (IGU) on the Brazilian side, rather than Puerto Iguazu (IGR) on the Argentine side. The best part is that the Foz do Iguaçu airport is very close to Puerto Iguazu. As mentioned in your itinerary, we can take care of the transfer from your hotel directly to the airport to make the crossing as smooth as possible for you.

On another note, if you are traveling with a US, Canadian, or Australian passport, please keep in mind that you will need a visa to enter Brazil. This is an electronic visa (e-visa) that can be easily requested online. The process usually takes a few weeks to be approved, so it's best to handle it in advance.

    • Tangol ToursOperatorWritten January 2026

Flights are not included. To find flights from Iguazu to Rio, you need to search for flights from Foz do Iguacu (Brazilian side) to Rio de Janeiro.
If there are direct flights, it is also cheaper because it is within Brazil.

To get to the airport on the Brazilian side, it is very simple, you just have to cross the border, the transfer is included in the itinerary.

That is, after Buenos Aires, you will arrive at IGR (Argentine side) where you will stay, and to go to Rio you must take the flight from IGU (Brazilian side).

I would also like to ask you what type of accommodation you prefer. We usually include 3 or 4 stars, but you can tell me!

is seeing Christ the Reedemer as part of the tour? If not will there be time during the trip to do it on our own?

    Tour Details
    • Tangol ToursOperatorWritten December 2025

Regarding your question, on Day 9 during your excursion, you will go up to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, where you'll enjoy spectacular views of the city, including Copacabana, Flamengo, the Urca neighborhood, and more. From there, you will also see the imposing figure of Christ the Redeemer, though visiting the statue itself is not included in the tour. Of course, you'll have a free day in the city to explore at your own pace, so you can plan a visit to Christ the Redeemer on your own if you wish.

Regarding your question, yes, Tangol Tours can arrange all internal flights during the tour. These flights can be quoted approximately 10 months before your travel date, so we'll be able to add them next year without any problem. To tailor everything perfectly for you, I would love to know a few details: - What hotel category do you prefer? - Are you traveling for any special occasion? - Would you like a double bed or two separate beds?

Citizens of the United States, Australia, and Canada must present a valid visa to enter Brazil. The electronic visa application process is online and costs approximately USD 90.

Recommended flights during peak holiday season cost approximately USD 1,000 per person. It is recommended to fly from Buenos Aires to Iguazú (Argentine side), and then from Foz do Iguaçu (Brazilian side) to Rio de Janeiro. Flights within Brazil are cheaper.

Is there a single supplement for this trip, or can you assist in pairing me with another female traveler to reduce costs? If solo sharing is possible, are there specific conditions or deadlines?

    Single supplement
    • Tangol ToursOperatorWritten August 2025

We do not operate fixed group packages. If you are already traveling as a group, then yes, we can assist. However, we do not combine different travelers. All trips are private. In this case, we would need to add a single room. For tours, joining group activities is possible, no problem.

If I understood you well, this means I will be travelling alone with just the tour guide with a possibility of meeting other travellers departing the same day or not. Kindly clarify a little bit more. So do you ever provide group travels or groups come to you already organised? So what is the filter about group travel on the platform about?

    • Tangol ToursOperatorWritten September 2025

Excursions and transfers are done in groups. But we do the trips individually. Individual accommodation and flights as well.

Is there an option for a shared room available?

    Accommodation
    • Tangol ToursOperatorWritten March 2025

While we don't offer shared room options, we do have single bed accommodations available. I'd be happy to prepare a customized quote that includes a single room along with all excursions and transfers in group services.
