Asked on December 14th, 2022How much walking should I expect to be able to do each day? I currently exercise by walking 2 miles/day. I'm also concerned that this trip is in the dead of summer when it's hot and humid.

Best Single TravelOperator•Written December 2022You will not be walking more then 2 miles at a time. You may walk a mile in a morning tour and then a mile or 2 in the afternoon/evening tour. If you can walk 2 miles a day you will do great on this trip.

Traveler•Written November 2022It seems to me that if the tour Arrives in Athens and ends in Crete, I have to buy two one-way tickets to get there and back from San Jose, CA USA and that will make the trip more expensive as a cursory review puts plane flights costing as much as the tour price. Please advise and hopefully you can assist me with getting plane tickets should I decide to take this trip.

We always recommend a roundtrip flight from Athens and then a one-way ticket from Crete to Athens. So you would book Roundtrip San Jose to Athens on June 29th-July 9th and then coordinate a one way ticket from Crete to Athens on July 9th based on the time of your flight from Athens and those tickets are fairly cheap between $40-$65 and run just about hourly.

No June/July is the time we usually offer this trip. The weather in Greece in June is beautiful, mid 80's during the day and a little cooler near the coastline. We have done this trip many times in June/July and always have a wonderful time and don't find the weather to be uncomfortable.
