What make, model, and CC's bike is used? What equipment do I have to bring, do I need an international license, and will I have private accomodations?

    • DNQ TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

The quotes are based on the regular scooters of 110cc or automatic ones of 125cc, however, you can still upgrade to dirt bikes of Honda XR 150cc, CRF 250cc, CRF 300cc or the ADV Honda CB 500cc if you want. Of course, you can also opt staying at single room with a little supplement but won't have to share the room with another outsider. Yes, you'd better to have an International Driving License to ride legally in Vietnam. This is just an easy-going motorcycle tour and requirements for riding gears are just simple. You can just ride with casual wears such as sporty shoes, jeans, shirts even shorts and we'll provide you helmets, gloves, elbow + knee pads

      TravelerWritten February 2026

How much more is the CRF 250 or 300? How much more is my private room option?

    • DNQ TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

The surcharge for CRF 250cc & CRF 300cc is US$ 35/bike/day and US$ 45/bike/day respectively. And the supplement for a single room throughout the trip is US$ 495.

    • DNQ TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

To ride motorcycles legally in Vietnam, you are recommended to have either Vietnamese licenses or the International Driver's Permit under the 1968 convention. However, if you can not convert your local license into such a called IDP, we can help you convert this at the cost of US$ 145, US$ 160 & US$ 190 for 3, 5 & 10-year validity respectively

    Tamara

    Asked on November 7th, 2025

Can we start the tour from Ho Chi Minh city and end at Hanoi taking in Ha Long Bay as well. Extra days not a problem. Can we also book a van for our luggage and can you tell me if there are any off roads as we are in our late sixties and seventies?

    Tour Details
    Transport
    • DNQ TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

You can totally reverse the trip by starting from Ho Chi Minh city and ending in Hanoi then extend 2 or 3 days to Halong bay from Hanoi with overnight cruises. We can help you arrange a support truck to carry your luggage. This trip is more about scenic purposes, uncovering breathtaking sceneries, learning history, cultures, traditions, and cuisines rather than adventure off-road riding.

      Tamara

      TravelerWritten November 2025

Is the price the same (£1513) for the reverse tour? No support truck needed. Can you give me a quote for 1 extra night in Hanoi for 1st July. Also a quote for the overnight trip to Halong Bay.

    • DNQ TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

The price for the trip is still unchanged if you start from Saigon and end in Hanoi. We often book a 3-star hotel in the old quarters of Hanoi at the cost of US$ 60/room/night. People tend to spend 2 days/1 night on the cruises after the trip. The inclusive offer for 2 days/1 night on 4-star cruises is US$ 175/person (2 people share 1 cabin together).

We would like to book the tour starting from Saigon on 18th June 2026 and ending in Hanoi on 29th June 2026. We would also like to book the Halong Bay trip on 30th June 2026, and a night at the same 3-star hotel in Hanoi on the 1st July 2026. There is currently 5 persons travelling. Would you be able to accommodate this with a twin room and a triple room? Can you please advise how to pay the deposit for this tour?

Do you have a recommendation for a time after the rainy season when its over?

    • DNQ TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

From the mid of Dec till the end of May, that is the best time to do such a long-haul motorcycle journey on Ho Chi Minh trail & along the coast from Hanoi till Saigon. So if you are weighing the time in Jan is suitable, just go ahead to lock it up
