To ride motorcycles legally in Vietnam, you are recommended to have either Vietnamese licenses or the International Driver's Permit under the 1968 convention. However, if you can not convert your local license into such a called IDP, we can help you convert this at the cost of US$ 145, US$ 160 & US$ 190 for 3, 5 & 10-year validity respectively

Can we start the tour from Ho Chi Minh city and end at Hanoi taking in Ha Long Bay as well. Extra days not a problem. Can we also book a van for our luggage and can you tell me if there are any off roads as we are in our late sixties and seventies?

You can totally reverse the trip by starting from Ho Chi Minh city and ending in Hanoi then extend 2 or 3 days to Halong bay from Hanoi with overnight cruises. I have just finished a 12 tour Top Gear Ho ChiMin Trail tour. Myself and two friends joined Cong on this fabulous ride we saw and experienced lots of things that the average tourist would not experience. This tour was very well organised and Cong was very good at finding new experiences from riding through remote villages and rice paddies we also ate at a verity of restaurants from remote family settings to floating restaurants where the food was also extremely fresh and tasty. We got to visit war site’s museums and grave sites. It was challenging learning to ride in the huge mobs of motorcycles in the cities and also evading trucks/ cars motorcycles coming around corners on your side of the road. We saw motorcycles pulling trailers with up to 5 pigs,1 water buffalo,1 large cow, 4 people and a dog, as well as numerous farm produce equipment. It was an extremely rewarding experience and would highly recommend Mr Dong and his crew of well trained informed guides who go out of their way to make sure that you have the best possible experience.Show more

Visa
- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 4th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 4th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with DNQ Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 50 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and DNQ Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "DNQ Travel" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
