Thimphu to Punakha

- Trek to Bumdrak Monastery (4-5 hours, steady uphill climb through fir and pine forests from 2,950m to 3,860m)
- Visit sacred Bumdrak Temple with 8th-century blessed cave

- Hike to summit from Bumdrak campsite (additional 45 minutes for panoramic mountain and valley views)

Bumdrak to Paro
