Itinerary
- Day 1
Vancouver to Whistler
You'll head out from downtown Vancouver at 9:00 am and drive the Sea-to-Sky Highway, which is one of those routes that really shows off the landscape. There are stops at Shannon Falls and Brandywine Falls along the way, so you'll get out and stretch your legs a bit. By mid-afternoon you'll roll into Whistler Village for a walking tour of the area, then check into your hotel in the heart of the village. The rest of the day is yours to wander around the village itself or relax at the hotel. If you're up for it, there's an optional evening visit to Vallea Lumina, which is a light and sound experience through the forest (75°F/24°C).

- Day 2
Whistler to Clearwater
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll head to the Squamish Lil'Wat Cultural Centre where a cultural ambassador welcomes you with a drum song and walks you through the history and traditions of the Squamish and Lil'wat First Nations. Later in the morning you'll depart Whistler and drive toward Clearwater, passing through Pemberton and Lillooet. Around lunch time there's a stop at a scenic viewpoint for a picnic. You'll arrive in Clearwater in the late afternoon to check into your hotel, then the evening is free for dinner on your own (68°F/20°C).

- Day 3
Clearwater to Jasper
You'll have breakfast at the hotel before heading into Wells Gray Provincial Park to see several waterfalls, including Helmcken Falls and either Spahats or Dawson Falls depending on what you choose. The drive continues toward Mount Robson, which is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and you'll stop for a look at it. By late afternoon you'll arrive in Jasper and check into your centrally located hotel. This evening you can explore the town for dinner and other activities, or there's an optional visit to the Jasper Planetarium if the weather cooperates (62°F/17°C).

- Day 4
Jasper
After eating breakfast at your hotel, you'll spend the morning at Maligne Canyon walking on scenic bridges and trails while looking at ancient fossils and waterfalls. Next comes Maligne Lake, which is known for its striking blue water, the peaks surrounding it, and three glaciers you can see from the shore. There's an optional boat tour out to Spirit Island if you want to add that on. The afternoon is yours to relax back in Jasper or sign up for any other optional activities in the area (64°F/18°C).

Jasper to Banff
Breakfast at your hotel, then you'll head to the Columbia Icefields to take the Ice Explorer tour where you'll actually walk on the glacier itself. From there it's a drive along the Icefields Parkway with stops at Bow Lake and Peyto Lake for photos and short walks. You'll arrive in Banff by late afternoon and check into your hotel, with the evening to settle in (60°F/15°C).

- Day 6
Banff
Start with breakfast, then ride the Banff Gondola up the mountain for views across the Rockies and the valley below. During the tour of Banff townsite you'll see Bow Falls and pass by the famous Banff Springs Hotel. The afternoon is open for whatever interests you like shopping on Banff Avenue, hiking, trying out e-bikes or horseback riding, canoeing, soaking in the hot springs, or even a helicopter tour if you want something different. The evening is yours to relax around town (66°F/19°C).

Banff to Kelowna
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll spend time at Lake Louise and then head over to Moraine Lake to see the turquoise water and surrounding scenery. The route takes you through Roger's Pass as you continue toward Kelowna. You'll arrive in downtown Kelowna in the late afternoon to check into your centrally located hotel, then explore the town with plenty of restaurant options to choose from for dinner (72°F/22°C).

- Day 8
Kelowna to Vancouver
Have breakfast at your hotel, then spend the day checking out the Okanagan Valley. You'll stop at a farmer's market to browse local produce and goods, then visit a winery to see how they operate and sample some wine. The drive back to Vancouver takes a few hours, and you'll arrive around 7:30 pm (75°F/24°C).
